I'll be switching my Santander 123 mini account into Nationwide next month. Unfortunately most of the regular award accounts are going.

Applied for my switch a few days ago, and I recall seeing somewhere that you can track the progress of your switch through your online banking account. Can't seem to find this anywhere - anyone got any ideas?

You have to log back in to the switch to Nationwide service on the account you are switching to. The track my switch button is there, on the menu on the left of screen.

Thanks - the menu option isn't showing for me at the moment, but maybe it's because my switch isn't due to start for another week

I have switched a Santander 123 Mini account to NW as a new single account, Santander was closing my account in August and I have just received the £200 and in June I received the £100 Fairer Share bonus.  I previously switched to a single NW account in 2020

Are you allowed to hold 2 FlexDirect accounts?

I have an old one from 2016 so the benefits of it are long gone, but wanted to open a new one with this switch offer to gain access to 5% interest and 1% cashback on debit card purchases.

Would they reject the account/switch automatically and just change it to a FlexAccount instead?

You can hold one individual and one joint FlexDirect account.

If you had a FlexDirect account in the past, you can't get the 5% AER rate again on a new one, unless you had an individual FlexDirect account and are now opening a joint one.

Once you don't have one open already (unless it's an individual and you're opening a joint) then you just open your FlexDirect and start your switch.

My switch completed on the 25th and I've met all instructions. This is into a joint account which we haven't had a bonus for but both of us have had a bonus each on a personal account. I've received no text to say that the bonus will be paid or are eligible. Do we just get it paid automatically?

The debit card transaction was made before the switch completed but after the switch was initiated will this still count?

Sorry if this is teaching granny to suck eggs:

    - Were you a qualifying Nationwide member on 31st March 2025? That is you had an eligible mortgage, savings or current account on 31st March 2025.

    - Did you move £1,000+ into the new or existing Nationwide account from a non-Nationwide account?

    - Was your debit card spend a normal transaction, not gambling or crypto?

    - Is your new or existing Nationwide account that you switched into a FlexDirect, FlexAccount or FlexPlus?

If you answered yes to all the above then you have to give them 10 days from the date you completed all the above. I assume you did so on or before 25th June? So 10 days later would be tomorrow.

It's a while since I last did a Nationwide switch offer, but from what I can remember they did sent a text message when the bonus was paid. I think they may have sent texts out during the switching process as well.

Also worth remembering that, as per number 3 of ' What you need to do to get the offer',  transferring money from other Nationwide accounts won’t count. I  only inaugurated my switch yesterday, and mustn't lose sight of that condition myself when the time comes.

Yes, so many little but important things to remember.

I've edited my post to add in that bit.
