APCOA PCN Manchester Airport Drop-off

My daughter picked me up from Manchester airport and didn’t realise she had to pay on exit but thought the barrier didn’t work. It was dark and late so didn’t see the signs. She wants to pay the fine but I’ve found this thread. I’m not sure how to find the template to use (as I’m not very tech savvy). Could someone attach the link for me please?2

use this, select keeper in the drop down option, ensure the details are as per the lettermme said:My daughter picked me up from Manchester airport and didn’t realise she had to pay on exit but thought the barrier didn’t work. Could someone attach the link for me please? This is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will *ever* be given. Please do not bother with your known fishing expedition in an attempt to get driver details. It is known parking firms do this to try and get around the fact when there is no keeper liability in play. (and never can be under POFA)Due to this being airport land you will be well aware there is NO keeper liability due to the byelaws in force and thus not relevant land.As there is NO keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw. If you waste your time asking for driver details this will be ignored and you will still lose at POPLA if you dont cancel the PCN.So let's save my time and yours and cancel this PCN you simply cannot win this (and you know it)3 -
"She wants to pay the fine"
Come on, no she doesn't. It isn't a fine. Nobody pays these.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

She made a mistake.
Follow ChirpyChickens advice above, to the letter and it will be quashed.

Hi guys! Sorry for coming back so late to update on this.songteam said:I received parking charge notice on 04.11 and it was totally the same situation with @quizlady 's. We took a wrong turning at Manchester airport T3 whilst looking for the M+G. We drove through the pick-up/drop-off zone without stopping. Since we are not local, and were panicked when received the notice, so we submitted the appeal straight away with the payment record of M+G zone and have ticked the box as driver, we also left the contact number as well...After a night, I found this forum and read through all 17 pages with all the successful cases, however, the online appeal link has been logged, and I think it cannot be appealed anymore?
Has anyone encountered a similar situation and able to provide some evidence please?
I received a letter from APCOA that they have decided to cancel the parking charge.
Thank you all for your help!8 -
Course they did. We never fail.songteam said:

Just another one to add to the pile of successes.
Received letter from APCOA end of November.
Registered keeper appealed on the day of receipt stating driver details were unknown and no keeper liability.
Didn’t receive any sort of confirmation from APCOA that they’d received the appeal but had a mail today saying they’d reviewed and decided to cancel.
All in all took about 10 days.

Hello some help please.
I made mistake of submitting the driver details!
In July., at pick up zone for 12mins
Tried to pay but system not working online. By the time I got home, with traffic jams , i forgot to pay.
My husband received the pcn AND *HE SUBMIITED MY NAME AS DRIVER**
reading thread, I realise this was the first mistake.
I have received 2 letters debt recovery for £170 and I called them to say I am in contact with apcoa to resolve.
Apcoa have sent me reply to say I am outside the appeals window.
***Sigh***
In hindsight, I wish I'd found this thread sooner.
What can I do now.

So what you can do now is
1. stay of the phone to DRP
2. Stay of the phone to DRP
3. Ignore ALL DRP letters

My dad took the wrong turn and went into the drop off zone when he should of gone to the arrivals car park on 18th Oct.
The PCN date of issue was on the 24th of Oct and he left the country on that day. He is now back in the UK from yesterday and opened all his letters. He now has 4 letters from debt recovery plus, I was planning to make a late appeal but APCOA website has denied me the option to do so.
Should I also just ignore all debt recovery plus letters as well? Or send an appeal using their complaints link?0
