Should itsthelittlethings spend less on coffee?

£10 out to savings this morning. I would like to spend that on a holiday but in reality it’s all to go towards the decorating work that the HA did internally. I am waiting with bated breath for the bill. They estimated about £700. I have about £250. Must update signature.
No coffees today but I do have to post my old passport back special delivery.
Just about to have a second (decaf) coffee. I slept well last night. I have a union meeting this evening (just going along to watch) and someone is coming round to pick something up off Oli$.I went to another DA meeting last night online. I was laughing at some of the stuff the sharer was saying but I hope they took it ok. I am in a much better place than some people so I am fortunate. I just want my incomings to equal my outgoings.2 -
Have been updating less but I just thought I would pop back to say that I managed a no spend day yesterday which is very rare for me but hopefully will be becoming more frequent. I had a bit of a shift and realised that everything I stuck on a credit card was going to debt and just couldn’t justify doing this for the sake of a milky coffee.
Very quiet weekend, the weather wasn’t good and I didn’t end up going swimming. Blitzed my house and chilled.3 -
Managed another no spend today, extremely pleased about that.2

Two more days to the weekend. Just settling down, going to make a cup of coffee and watch Sewing Bee in a minute. I tried to make pesto for dinner but my blender is broken which is very annoying. I don’t really have the money to buy a new one until next week so may have to throw to pesto ingredients away.Sleeping better since I cut down on coffees out (I don’t usually get decaf). I started doing some knitting again last night which I was very pleased about and I’ll do some more tonight.2

Pestle and mortar? Failing that wooden spoon?2

My sleep is always better if I limit when I have my last coffee so for me I don’t drink it after 5pm and switch to decaf. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2026 #26 £288.45/£667.95Save £12k in 2026 #12 £4242.32/£7500

I have managed to borrow a hand blender off my sister so I will make the pesto when I get home. Very money saving.
I bought a chocolate bar today as I wasn’t having a good day at work and had just walked fifteen minutes in the rain. I managed not to buy any coffee though. I may have a treat one tomorrow as it’s Friday.
Just at my sister’s house for dinner. We’re having samphire with garlic butter to start and chilli con carne with rice for main. Delicious.1 -
I haven’t spent on credit cards for five days. I’ve hardly spent anything as I don’t have much left in my overdraft. I know overdraft is still debt but it’s not as much of a priority for me as it’s only £250 and it’s 0%.They have just extended the limit on both my credit cards but I am determined to stop using them and pay them off.
Another very quiet weekend this week. I’d like to finish a cardigan I’m knitting for my niece’s baby. I’m watching a show called Unorthodox on Netflix which is pretty good so I’ll probably watch that. I also want to clean my flat.2 -
Just woken up and relaxing with a coffee. I’m going to try for a no spend day today although I might be going to see my friend and take ice creams from Asda so that would be a spend.1
