Got a nasty shock when I checked my bank balance today. I looked at the positive balance and forgot include my overdraft and thought I wouldn’t be able to cover my priority bills this month. Luckily it all turned out ok.
I just had pearl barley, roast broccoli, feta and aubergine salad for dinner. It was nice. I’m doing quite well at cooking nice food this month.
I really want to go on a 3 day course to do visible mending. I feel really calm and peaceful when I am darning and mending. I have racked my brains for how to get the money but I’m not sure it’s possible. You can’t have all the nice things in life.
I should crack on with the decluttering this evening.

do you really need to go on the course when you enjoy this anyway? What benefit will the course bring you?

I might do another SOA.
The decluttering is ok. Now I’m just stressed that my flat is going to fill up again. I feel like my clutter is a representation of how crap I am at basic life skills which is silly. I don’t need to go on the course. I just need it to warm up a tiny bit so I can start lake swimming again. That’s as good as a holiday.

There are so many free videos on visible mending you can practice without the need for a course. You can do the things that relax you and make you feel good without having to spend money.

I’ve sorted out my paperwork this morning. I got rid of anything over 3 years old except contracts for ongoing things, pensions and welcome stuff from when I moved into my flat.
I need to vacuum, run the washing machine and pop out to buy vitamin D this morning. Then I’ll make macaroni cheese this afternoon. I need to darn some work trousers. I’m currently procrastinating from finding a needle.
