It's like you ignored all the comments, ideas and suggestions then carried posting as usual!!
Are you saying you have increased your credit card debt by adding more purchases to it? You mentioned in an earlier post that you thought you had gone over your agreed overdraft limit?
How is opening a regular saver and paying in £200 a month going to help? You spent the money you saved in the emergency fund. If you had not done that you would have £300 now.
It's baffling how you can't see you are in a fortunate position in comparison to others and how you could pay off your debt in 6 months with some discipline and planning.
Good luck with it all. I've unfollowed your thread and I'm not reading anymore!

I quite agree, it’s as if we hadn’t made suggestions and tried to help.

I’m on more than 23k. I have student loans and pension contributions which take it down.

If I could do things differently I would. I don’t like being in debt!

Also I did not see the helpful comments before I posted earlier today or I would have responded to them.

You can do things differently, you just choose not to. It’s called instant gratification, which if you have the funds is a fine thing but you don’t have the funds.

If you are an impulse buyer which it seems like you are then having a credit card or overdraft is a very bad idea. Can you cut the card up? If you do not have a mortgage then you are in a fortunate position. The online buying also is best knocked on the head. Getting rid of these bad habits will help you get out of debt.

I am 100% an impulse buyer. I like to plan though. Someone I know was talking to me about planning at the gym this evening. Now I’m home and doing the chores. I’ve done the Friday wash, washing up and taken the bin out. We’ve recently got food bins and I didn’t think I threw many food scraps away but my general waste was hardly anything today. I had sausage patties and rice with cabbage slaw for dinner. I’m a bit full now!
I’ve been neglecting Mr Unsuitable as I’m on the first week of a tough rotation at work but I sent him a message this evening and I’ll try to message him tomorrow morning as I know that’s a good time for him. I haven’t seen him for nearly two months but we live 60 miles apart and it’s pretty casual. I wished him a happy birthday the other day as I thought it was his birthday in February but he said it’s actually in May.Right. I’m going to hang my washing out and drink a coffee, maybe vacuum and then stick the tv on. Tomorrow is devoted to writing my TMA03 (Open University term meaning Tutor Marked Assignment) and on Sunday I was thinking of devoting some time to my knitting. I had an idea of cataloguing all my wool but I’m not sure.

I would love to knock online buying on the head. There is something I love so much about a parcel arriving in the post. It’s like getting an amazing present. I need to think of something that can replace that feeling. I have an app where they pair you with someone else and you take a random photo once a day. Kind of like a modern day pen pal. Maybe that could replace online shopping for me.

Ok I set up the app. It’s an online participatory art project. I don’t exactly understand how it works. Once a day all the participants get a notification and you have one minute to take a photo. Or something. Because participants are all around the world it can be at any time of day. A lot better than buying shoes!
