Just relaxing at home, baked potato in the oven for dinner. I got my most recent assignment back and got a really good score so I’m very pleased about that. I’ve got a wash on and need to put the dry washing away. I still have a cold and I think it’s a sinus infection now. Going to finish more chores and have dinner. Then knit and watch tv and an early bed.

They are ok. I put something on them last month but I’ve sat down and given myself a stern talking to about using them. I only have one, which is nearly up to the limit. It always seems like such an emergency but I really don’t need to spend on it. Hoping to make quite a big payment when I get paid, get it under 2k and keep it that way.

Got my council tax bill for the year. It’s gone up which is bearable but obviously not ideal. I had a relaxed evening yesterday knitting. I have finished a hat and just need to sew the ends in. I’m not sure what my next project will be.

I’m off to a friend’s a bit later for a coffee and a chat. It should be enjoyable especially as the sun is forecast to shine. It’ll be a low spend weekend.

I may be taking a trip to see a friend at Easter. She lives in Scotland so it’s a long way plus she can’t host so I’ll have accommodation costs. But I haven’t seen her for a few years and she’s had a very tough time with various things. It would be good to see her. We will have to see.

Hi I am a lurker but hopping on to say take the trip to see your friend in Scotland. I have a trip in the planning to see friends I haven’t seen in 25 years (uni friends) in September always put off but determined to visit this year

Yes absolutely! I recently went back to Cornwall to see old friends, well worth it especially when they’ve been through hard times. I stayed in an apartment but it was ideal as I could see various friends on different days.

A good day. I did my studying this morning, went to Lidl for a couple of things, made soup out of aging carrots and tomatoes and started a massive declutter. My flat feels great. I’ve cut the amount of clutter on the walls and surfaces by around half and almost totally cleared my kitchen work surfaces. I also managed to vacuum which badly needed doing. I’ve been quite tired all day. I’m not sure why but I wonder if it’s because I’ve started taking antihistamines for hayfever. I’ve been tired since I started taking then although they are non drowsy.

Now I’m washing my bedding and watching some tv. I love having clean bedding but hate making the bed with new bedding. Hopefully the wash will finish reasonably soon so I can be in bed at 8. I put it on a long hot wash as it’s bedding.

I’ve got some wool I want to wind but really struggling to summon up the energy. I’ve been quite productive all day so I might let myself just veg. I’m on earlies all week and a late on Friday.

    Well done on the decluttering

Thanks. I’m really pleased with how it’s going. I have people collecting stuff this evening and I’m going to sort out a clothes drawer of clothes I never wear. Then I can put my work clothes away (they’ve been living hung over my kitchen table chairs for months).

Payday tonight and I’ll pay some money off debt. I don’t think I will end up going to visit my friend as I’ll have to pay for it all out of one month’s wages and that will leave me pretty short for the rest of the month. I need to prioritise the debt. I’ll let her know today.

Work was good today. Hump day tomorrow! I’m getting my hair cut on Thursday and might have a cheap meal out in town beforehand.

    Anyway on with the decluttering!

Went to bed ridiculously early and woke up ridiculously early, still didn’t get enough sleep. I was wiped after a busy day at work (there was an event yesterday and today) and could barely summon the strength to take the bin out and wash up. I got paid yesterday and paid money off debt. I let my friend know I’m not going to visit her. I hope we can find a suitable date with more notice.

Two days to the weekend and I’m at a quiet site today and tomorrow. Going to listen to a podcast now and knit.
