I booked a night in a hotel for a knitting show on my credit card before I stopped using it. I booked it about two weeks ago, it’s in November. I will still have to pay for the train.
This is ridiculous. I am having 3 mini breaks this year. They end up costing £300-500 each, money I can ill afford. If I didn’t buy mini breaks, my budget would probably balance.
For people who say, if you didn’t buy coffee out you could afford all these holidays…I was about to say that the coffee is worth it…but I’m not sure actually.
Might start cash stuffing an envelope for our trip to France.0 bonus saver

It might be worth buying a good insulated cup and making coffee at home to take with you? The coffee stays hot most of the day (mind you, I drink mine black). Home brewed coffee is a fraction of the cost, and, as a bonus, the coffee grounds keep slugs off your plants. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1

Maybe I will buy a Monday and a Friday coffee off the lovely guy on the coffee stand, and stop going to the cafe next door at the weekend in the summer when it’s too busy. I can maybe go there in the winter.0 bonus saver

YesI hardly ever buy a coffee out. The cost of just one is the same as a small bag of beans. I get about 16 cups (americano with double shot espresso) out of a bag. Works out at less than 20p per cup. If I buy the 1kg bags it's 15p.
I know the machines are expensive initially (bean to cup type) but at a £2 - £3 saving per cup they pay for themselves in no time.
That said, if you're a sit in the shop person, you don't get that aspect, but if you're a take out person, there's not really any benefit in my opinion of paying the extra amount apart from maybe convenience.1 -
I bought a make up brush in Boots for £17.85 and some SPF oil in Superdrug for £9.
I had rice crispie bar and a double espresso in a cafe. That was nice. I don’t think I need to go out again for the rest of the weekend.0 bonus saver

I slipped and bought a month of Netflix. I'm about to watch a film, I think it's Korean.

I paid £39.99 for a month of OkCupid (the least offensive dating app). I am so cross with myself. I must cancel.
In the past two years I have only been on one date from the apps. It was cool though. He worked on algorithms. It could have been three or four years ago now. I didn’t find him that attractive (I think I was subconsciously racist now I think about it) and if I remember rightly, he had a child. There was the guy I met last year but he was a bit unsuitable. Lucky it didn’t work out!
Maybe I’ll make a list of all my subscriptions. I have about £500 in bills excluding rent (which I don’t pay) go out of my account every month.
I probably want to be in a relationship but not live with someone.

I have had a nice day not doing much.
have managed to wash my bedding so it will be nice to have clean bedding tonight. It’s really warm here after rain. It’s still a bit muggy.
I have been thinking. I need to cut back a bit and stick to my weekly spending. Need to do a budget and look at my bank account this evening.

It’s a really long pay month this month for me. I have about £180 left to see me through until the end of the month, not including bills and commitments. I really need to stop buying luxuries. My wage does not support my lifestyle at the moment and I really don’t want to use a credit card this month.
Next weekend I am going to sell some wool. If I sell 8 skeins of wool for £10 plus £3.50 postage (I sometimes lose a tiny bit on the postage) I’ll make about £50 (not all of it sells). I will be deeply sad to lose my beautiful wool but at the moment it is just sat under my bed not getting played with. I have generally lost my knitspo at the moment. Roll on winter.0 bonus saver
