I had a noodle meal out last night to celebrate the end of my evening class. I attended every session except one where I was on holiday. It was £30 but I put it on my food card. I think that’s manageable and also it might motivate me not to spend too much on eating out if I remember it is food and it comes out of the budget as such.

I need to get a passport. My mum and me are going to France next year. I’m going to book travel insurance. She will probably insist on paying for everything. She is in charge of the food and I’m in charge of the museums. I will try to buy a few coffees for her. I think I will need about £100 spending money for 4 days. Maybe I can buy her breakfast. French people don’t like speaking French with people who can’t speak proper French in my experience though. We will be there for 2 days.

Right, need to do a food shop for the second half of the month. My freezer is a bit jam packed too.

As long as you have covered all your outgoings you shouldn’t need any wiggle room. Have you looked into switching current account ?
I have a spare current account with HSBC that I opened when I had a 0% card deal.

    I have £34 to Friday.

Have to say I’ve always found the total opposite when I’ve been to France! When I’ve used my very rusty French everyone was lovely and appreciated the effort even if I didn’t always make much sense!🤣🤣

Have bought a couple of gifts for people. I bought an £8 bottle of olive oil from the supermarket for my coworker whose birthday it is at the weekend. I think that’s an appropriate gift?

I went to the supermarket and meant to buy hangers but I forgot. That’s annoyed me now. Maybe I should take the lack of hanger space as a clue that a couple of things need to go to charity rather than buying more hangers.

Today I have spent £4 on a coffee and £15 in cash. Not too bad.

How I’m not bankrupt is a source of joy and mystery to me.

Personally I don't buy birthday gifts for co workers, and I have no expectation of getting one... I'd save your money and not buy these gifts.

I will keep the olive oil for me and bake banana bread at the weekend for Monday.

I redid my budget and even though I spent outside the budget last week, the budget still balances. I’m a bit closer to the edge of my overdraft though.

I need to treat my leather bag in a bit. Also vacuum and wash up.

How much is your overdraft - that's a debt too, but didn't seem listed in your SOA or your signature with your credit card.

My mum has got me getting insurance quotes for our trip away. Annoyingly the providers she found are significantly cheaper than the one I found.

Just relaxing at home. This afternoon I’m going to clean for an hour (the length of one cd) and then clear my kitchen table and treat my leather bag.

    Need to make lunch now.
