I have found an over spenders online meeting that I am going to go to. I feel optimistic about it.

Am exhausted. I seem to have used all my leave up even though I have only had one solid week block so far. I am having three days in September and 3 days in October. That willl make 5 days with the weekends.

Just waiting for my online meeting. Bought a sandwich as there were loads of managers in the office and I couldn’t face sitting at my desk eating a cream cheese sandwich. I also had an iced coffee at lunchtime which was just perfect. I sat on a wall near work and ate the ice which was super refreshing. Only one coffee bought today. Not too bad.

Just chilling now. My flat is tidy enough. The week went ok and I still seem to be just about doing ok at work and enjoying it.

I have another quiet weekend coming up which is good. I did have it in my head to go and buy a new computer on finance for my Open University course (there’s always an excuse) but something clicked in my head and I realised this is not the right thing to do.

I’m just listening to 6music, one of my favourite songs, Laid Back by Hot Chip is on.

I sorted out a load of wool to sell but I think it will be too hot this weekend to photograph and post it so I might put it in a bag ready for a cooler weekend. I must schedule some stuff to do as I get a bit moody when I don’t have stuff to do. I will do that first thing tomorrow.

Am just off lake swimming. My sister lent me a pull buoy and bright coloured swimming cap so that’s something I didn’t need to buy. While I was looking for my swimming costume I found my resistance band which I had lost so I’m really pleased about that.

I had two coffees this morning at home but didn’t feel the need to rush and get a coffee in town when I was early for the bus. I’m very pleased about that. Maybe I will get no take out coffee today.

I saw a post and now a second one (pg 17) that confirms my thought.  You are buying a coffee because you like the guy who is selling it.  That guy is not going to help your long term saving goals.

I’ve had a nice morning. I chatted with the guy from London from last year for a bit and then went out to the open air cafe next door to get a coffee (it wasn’t worth it but I find it hard to actually get out of the house sometimes and a coffee lures me out). Then I went to a group art exhibition. They had chopping boards. I nearly got one for my niece as a gift for when she gets somewhere to live but I restrained myself and did not. They were very beautiful and a good price though.

I went to Tescos and did a shop for today and the next week. When I have had a decaf coffee and vacuumed I am going to do a spreadsheet and calculate how much I have spent on food so far this month. I will report back. Prepare to think I am a spendthrift in this area too! (It is true).

I am trying to eat for heart health. I had some twinges last year that were diagnosed as probably muscular. Since I changed my job they have more or less resolved. But it gave me a scare. I didn’t buy taramasalata for lunch today as I really like salty food but I believe it is bad for your heart. I have also switched to low fat mayo.

I am half way through the pay month and I have spent £162 on food. Defo some scope for reducing this. I think I need to dig down into where the costly categories really are.

Going through my bank accounts for this it also really jumped out at me how many coffees I am getting. Sometimes with a pastry or a sandwich.
