    ...your timings are:

    01:00 - 06:00, 14:00 - 17:00 and 21:00 - 23:00and will revert back to 00:00 - 05:00, 13:00-16:00 and 20:00-22:00 once the clocks go back in the autumn.

Can you confirm that your meter is operating on these timings.

"Partly. There are two sets of timings within the meter:
    1. The Time of Use switching table, which specifies the times when offpeak periods start and stop;
    2. The ALCS calendar, which specifies the times when the Auxiliary Load Control Switch closes and opens.
These timings will normally be exactly the same, so that at the (nominal) start time of an offpeak period, the ToU register changes from peak to offpeak and the load control switch closes to energize the heating circuit.

At the change of tariff on 1 April, this meter was reconfigured. The new Tariff Details contained the correct prices and charges, but the switching table was that for Economy 7, not Economy 10 as it should have been. This is what has to be corrected.

The ALCS calendar was not changed and the heating circuit is being energized as expected. "

It's infuriating that Loop is still out of it. They say they're doing some back-end updates that they expect to be finished today, having been at it all week. If and when they do come back, I'd urge you to try again and sign up with them, if only to enable you to access the n3rgy tariff data file*. This would allow for two things: it's incontrovertible proof that EDF got it wrong when they issued the Update tariff information command, (or that they've corrected it in the interim 🤞), and you'd be able to share with us (i.e.me) a tariff info file that shows what an E10 meter tariff switching table looks like, which would make my day. It would also save your legs ...

    * Does anyone following this saga know of any other way to get hold of the tariff information file? Or for that matter the ALCS calendar? It would make troubleshooting so much simpler ...

just got this, I’ve replied saying how will they know what the correct readings are when my afternoon and late evening boosts are going on my peak rate (rate 1) when they should be off peak ( rate 2 )

Metering are currently in the process of updating the details of your recent meter exchange. This process can take a few weeks, however once this is completed, we will bill you on the correct rates from the date of the meter exchange.

We will ensure the billing is accurate once the metering details are updated. Unfortunately, I am unable to escalate this process and you are unable to speak directly with the metering team, however you have my reassurance that this matter is in hand and you will be billed on the correct rates upon completion of the updates, from the date of the meter exchange.

They (or you) can, at least in theory, get hold of the half-hourly data and use that to show how much electricity you've used during your off-peak periods, then  compare that to your index readings.
However I wouldn't have much faith in EDF doing that, short of a formal complaint and referral to the Ombudsman. In your position I'd start a complaint through EDF's system now, saying something like "since the tariff change on the 1st of April my smart meter has been configured so that electricity used during some of my E10 off-peak periods is being recorded on the peak-rate register".
I'm sorry you've got this problem, it's not common!

They will probably bill you for the afternoon slots according to the energy used based on the 30 min windows from the smart meter but that won't be 100% accurate as your ALCS is offset by a few mins but should be close enough. If I were you, while the weather is nice, if you can, I'd try not to have the heaters on during the afternoon.

I haven't come across or discovered any way of accessing the ALCS calendar which is a real nuisance.
As for the Tariff Information, any App (3rd Party) will recover it from the meter, whether it's via n3rgy or direct (like Bright).

@Rosie1001 Re-install the Bright App. It will at least give you kWh usage for every half hour instead of you having to read the meter all the time (just reduce it to some of the time!
It'll also recover the Tariff that's on the meter, so IF later on EDF try to say it's ok when it isn't, you can copy that to them as proof.
