Scot , it was 7.17 am this morning when the tariff was on the off peak rate on the IHD

im going to check at 1.09 am what cost shows , and what rate on the meter changes

it should be on rate 2 off peak

What about at the time iirc 7:17 on IHD when you were seeing the 14p off peak rate on the meter current price display / IHD ?
As that would be consistent with what the app showed - an economy 7 type timing profile.
Is register two recording anything at all between say 1am and 8 am  (1:09 ?  and 8:09 ?) ?
Which would be consistent with the sort of E7 12 - 7am GMT shown on the app - how does the app determine that time - from the meter tariff table direct ?
As what you have seen this afternoon is consistent with the tariff timing table having been set for E7 as displayed via the app - but the ALCS left on E10.

I suspect EDF have udptated your meter  -  it wasnt showing the E10 Apr rates before - your old E7 fix iirc from one of  the other threads - but possibly inconsistently.

As I said before the 38p and the LCS open indication should be consistent - not 38p LCS Open so NSH feed dead - and 38p so LCS Closed / so NSH feed live..

At a guess I'd say your rates are e10, your tariff timings are E7 (based on app and this afternoon observations deinitelty not E10) and the ALCS / NSH swtiching is E10

SO for instance if the tariff timings are as e7 (12-7am GMT as the app displayed) and the ALCS remains on E10 - you might see both the rate and the ALCS switch NSH feed ON at 1:09 am (old 12-5 GMT slot + your meter offset and app showed 12-7am GMT?) - the meter switch to register 2 - the alcs feed for NSH switch off at 6:09am and the tariff changing to peak again until 8:09am - and the units accumulate from register 2 to register 1 unit accumulation.

[Which might give you a usable window to get some heat into your heaters at off peak overnight - should the chill easterly mean you need some heat. Its pretty warm here - midday - but iirc your an early riser.  Providing- well based on this afternoon by 2:09 pm - to switch them off - before the ALCS afternoon swithces on again.

But ultimately you need to get EDF to update the meter properly - so that ALCS and tariff timings are consistent.

That's pretty well what I just said in my shorter post just before yours. Hopefully EDF are in the process of updating it correctly as @Rosie1001 also said -

Sorry probably still typing when you posted @Phones4Chris

Yes I read that bit about email response from EDF - but the meter has been updated - it is showing April rates.

It was showing E7 fix rates before.

So not sure that say the default for Apr cap or end of fix update had happened.

And as the old fix was E7 - albeit split time on her RTS - 5+2 not 7 - wondering if there was something somewhere in their system still locked into E7 when they did so to cause the issue.  Messing up the tariff table times.

@Scot_39 I think that it's simply that EDF have messed up and they know they have, and updates are still in progress.
(Whichever, she's got a complaint going). @Rosie1001 did post on the 2nd April

After checking the meter at 1am , I can now say that my timings for economy 10 are correct … so the ALCS is correct and switching over at the right times

However …. My TARIFF has definitely been changed to Economy 7 ….

So , my heaters are getting from 1am to 6 am … then the ALCS is changing over and they stop charging only getting 5 hours …

The tariff then continues until the economy 7 hours are up ..in my case 8 am ,( but my heaters are no longer charging ,they stopped at 6am )

Any further charges throughout the day when the ALCS changes to my E10 times ,are charged at peak rate ( day rate)

A bit of my email to EDF … see what they say today if they respond

    I can’t get on
That's a pity. n3rgy had a bit of a tiff with TPTB about authentication last year, which ended up as far as I can see with them not accepting new accounts. Apparently, you now still have to open an account with one of the other 'other users' who piggyback on n3rgy to get access to the meter. Loop is a good bet: Loop - Your energy saving assistant. Jump through their hoops to get signed up, after which you should be able to access n3rgy's consumer customer portal. It may be worth the effort just to be able to see what EDF have actually inflicted on your meter - if n3rgy manage to access the meter, that is 🤞

OK. It looks as if there's a lot going on behind the scenes that nobody's talking about. I haven't seen a meter reading since midnight GMT on 1 April, for example. My supplier hasn't retrieved any usage data since that same point. n3rgy will happily return my tariff file so long as I ask for data preceding that midnight. I'm wondering if this isn't all to do with a new phase of MHHS trials. If it is, I wish them well - just so long as they don't move my cheese.

Any Idea  on how to describe what’s happening

I have emailed but they think that my readings are wrong way round and this is not the case

So today ,,2.09 , meter clicks , heaters charge , but the usage is going on peak rate . … 38p kwh on my rate 1

But it should be going on off peak 14p kWh on rate 2 , this rate is not moving unless it’s overnight  charge from approx 1am to 6 am

I don’t know how to put this any clearer

I have said my timings are right , but the price on my afternoon and evenings boots are charged on peak on the rate 1 on the meter

they have confirmed my timings (bst) and are saying my tariff is Economy 10 !

    ********

Please be reassured that now the clocks have gone forward, your timings are:

    01:00 - 06:00, 14:00 - 17:00 and 21:00 - 23:00and will revert back to 00:00 - 05:00, 13:00-16:00 and 20:00-22:00 once the clocks go back in the autumn.

Can you confirm that your meter is operating on these timings.

I can confirm that your tariff is for Economy 10.

From your email I understand that your off peak may be being charged at the peak rate. Please can you clarify that this is what you believe.

To help us understand this better, it would be helpful if you would take some additional photos of the meter readings on each register and further photos half an hour later (please also advise the times at which theses were taken) so we can ensure your usage is registering on the correct rates once all necessary updates have been completed regarding the meter details.

Once I have received confirmation from the metering team that all updates have been completed, I will review your account to ensure everything is correct.*******
