The sense of entitlement in this post is off the charts.

    Honestly…
Based on the information you’ve given:
Let’s assume an hourly rate of £6 and that it’s two hours a day of your mums time. Let’s also assume she’s using a car, which has approximately a daily cost of £5 for fuel & maintenance. To work in whole numbers let’s say you should be paying your mum £20 a day, for 45 weeks of the year. That’s about £2,700.
Im going to assume that’s this will contextualise how ridiculous your ask is…

How on earth did such a loving, giving, caring woman, your mother, have such a selfish child?

Honestly, I think that can be the cause of it. I have a friend that makes her youngest boy the centre of everything, his whims are her command. If the youngest doesn't want to do something or gets bored, the whole family has to stop and do something he wants to do. What are the chances he will grow up thinking about the needs of others?

To put £6 an hour in context, that's about half the minimum wage for someone over 21. Currently it's £11.44 an hour, but on Tuesday it rises to £12.21.

It would cost the OP much more than £2,700 a year to employ someone (if someone could be found to do those limited hours).

Definitely not. You should be grateful that she is looking after them all the other times. They are YOUR children not your mother's.
