eBay simple delivery (merged)

I mixed systems a little, sorry to cause confusion.
What I was thinking was, if someone purchases a label on RM website then requests an additional service (e.g. now 30p collection) that makes sense for RM. Does it make sense for RM to have to process only 30p transactions, I was under the impression companies don't like lots of small value charges, are they charged by card processors etc.? I suppose it makes little practical difference for sellers requiring collection.
I didn't mean to imply a specific charge for proof of postage and this would not apply to eBay's SD. What I was getting at was the options for own label purchases are drop off at PO, use post box, have collected. Well now only post box (maybe CSP too?) doesn't have an additional charge (though sounds like may only be RM24/48), so if one requires proof of postage, it will cost more than the basic postage fee. Again, shouldn't be relevant to simple delivery but that's likely already more expensive!

If you drop your parcel off after buying your label online then there is no charge, and your proof of posting can be obtained at drop off. The RM site only shows the 30p charge when collection is chosen. I will be going to the PO probably Tuesday now hopefully with a mix of LLs, standard parcels and RM48 , all will have pre printed and pre paid labels and the counter staff will give me a receipt as proof of posting for all of them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I went a bit OT anyway with proof of postage, the scenario is not relevant to eBay. As you outlined, hopefully no issues turning up to PO with labels or QR code.0

What has happened to SD today? Trying to list something (3rd attempt now) and the SD option has totally vanished! Am I missing something here?0

Is it too much to ask that Simple Delivery was far too over-complicated and has been scrapped?0

I’m also not seeing SD on some of my parcels, which is a shame as for me the SD formula works quite well and I am currently finding Evri being much quicker than RM. I suppose it depends on what you are selling though, a lot of my items are small parcel under 1kg so with Evri being offered it is considerably cheaper for the buyer, and I get my money in a few days . I was surprised though to list a couple of items yesterday and not be offered SD, so I have temporarily left them in scheduled hoping the SD element comes back.
My LLs remain on custom postage which suits me as it means I can start to occasionally use some of my stamp stock on them and continue to use the £1.55 2nd class LL option.Buyers on some forums are liking it as well as when there are bank holidays etc, Evri is still up and running whereas RM is not. I sold things on Saturday, all my RM stuff didn’t go until yesterday, but my Evri parcels went Saturday afternoon (and again Sunday for my Sunday sales) and at least one of the Saturday items has already had feedback left whereas my RM items won’t even get there until the end of this week.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just tried listing the same item again but no SD available. For some items it is definitely advantageous to use SD. I have tried different ways to list it - starting fresh, sell similar to one of my listing, sell similar to someone else's listing etc0

Maybe all the complaints are due to teething problems and will be resolved in due course.
My problem is that I have hundreds of postage stamps and eBay was an ideal way of using them up. I could sell them but you don't get anywhere near their worth. Ah well, not a big problem in the great scheme of things.0 -
