Just clicked through my email as shown above, postage rates from 20th May
    0-1 kg RM only £3.64
    1-2kg RM only £3.39
I guess the moral of the story is to add weight to your parcel to get it over 1kg.  Makes no sense

Yes that has been spotted elsewhere as well and eBay reps on the community board say eBay ‘are dealing with the mistake’ it really isn’t very impressive.

Every business I’ve worked in has always tested and checked changes to systems/processes.  Does seem to be beyond EBay though !

Totally confused. Sold first item under new postage rules.
    My P+P cost was set @ £4.
Item was auto sized by ebay as being letter size under 100gms.
Item is actually large letter @ 127gms.
Order stated buyer has chosen letter size under 100gms @ £0.87.
Buyer had actually paid £4 for the postage.
I forgot to amend the size and weight and chose large letter @ £2.70.
So far, everything seems as normal apart from the confusion.

What does the prepaid label say?
Buyer would not get to choose the parcel size and weight, only possibly the speed of service or compensation value surely?
I can't imagine I could go on ebay find a set of encyclopedias and ask them to be posted as a letter....

    I've only used SD a couple of times, where the postage would have been the same price if I had handled the money. Are you saying the postage charged to the buyer is £4, but the label value is £2.70. What is the specified maximum weight on the ll label? This is what I saw;

I cannot get back to the screen where it stated 0.87p, but I had the item listed @ £4 which is postage and packing.
I do not make any money on the P+P.

Weirdly it looks as though the buyer has paid £4, but ebay has purchased a label for £2.70, so you have received the extra £1.30

Is that not what Soolin was saying a few pages back and that this isn’t from SD but instead, the seller has used the £4 to purchase a label from eBay but has then purchased the wrong size because the user interface on eBay is confusing? If it was SD, the buyer wouldn’t have been charged £4 so if it gets picked up, the seller is going to have a dispute on their hands.
