I think I may have misunderstood the original post. My issue is that most of my items are made to order, and used to have 10 working days to make, but they new change is showing it takes 3 days to post, which is not always possible.
I have managed to enter 10 days for dispatch, but it is being overridden. Looks like I may have to stop selling on Ebay.
Looks like I have sorted my MTO time, but cannot work out how to change this: Flat rate postage(paid by Buyer).
This gives the buyer options and does not match my pricing.

If you are making to sell then you are a business and should be using a business account and a business account allows any despatch time.

However All SD regardless of whether buyer or seller pays requires despatch within 3 days.

Reading the information on the link provided is a bit vague, or maybe I am just being a bit dumb

If I have 450 items listed, some of which were listed originally late in 2024, do these count ?

I listed a new item today but no 35p fee was charged.

Is there an easy way to see if listings are on SD or not without editing each listing individually?
if you look on page 20 you'll see a pic of what the desktop view says, SD listings show as "flat rate postage paid by buyer" and if it's not on simple delivery it will show a price

I am almost tempted to start a standalone thread for this as it is important - and I can't believe I'm the only one affected.

Basically I sold a small LL item under £10 and under 100g listed with my own postage- this shows clearly on the listing. Went to print a label like I would normally do and all I can see is the postage details, like it shows for SD but showing a letter of 1g at 87p and asking whether I was paying by funds or paypal.

Wasn't sure what to do, so I went through ebay, live chat got a call back immediately who explained the system.

You need to click 'get postage label' then you get a box with yours and buyers details and a second box that says package details. In that box top right hand corner there is a pencil icon (just like on Vinted) click that and it shows your options for postage, click weight and size, click how you are paying and print an ebay label as normal.

For those who want to use stamps on any other method for labels, go to the first box, click the pencil icon and it shows the full buyer address.

I'm sure someone else will see this and explain it better than I have, but basically, open the boxes for the usual information. It is a new screen and doesn't mean it's going via SD.

I haven't sold or listed anything on my private account since the debate started but am struck by the decision to call something "simple" that is so complicated. I can just visualise eBay hitting you with a stick and chanting "You WILL find this SIMPLE!"

I think people are over complicating it a bit by not actually reading up about it and just reacting to threads. I am using it for my parcels, and actually it is very simple and hassle free - although I say that as someone who is used to the Vinted way already.

My sales (only of parcel size things) have been very strong, I just pack things now, print a label and take them to Evri, and that's it. Ebay have said I am protected from that moment, so until something goes wrong, I am quite happy.

I am not using it for LLs though as it makes the postage too expensive, but so far they are allowing sellers to continue using their own postage for that. I may feel differently if that ever changes and I am forced to use SD for my LLs.

New listings for me are now  showing simple delivery when live  despite having custom postage as an option when listing

I was already in the process of changing all my parcel size items to SD due to the price, and a quick look suggests that most if not all of my parcels have now gone to SD, but I will check later in case any of the weights/sizes are wrong. However, all of my LLs under £10 remain as custom postage and one sold a few minutes ago shows custom postage where I can buy a label as normal (via the new system I explained above) or just use a stamp as normal.

Also, for those LLs where I ma printing ebay labels via packlink, I am still able to use pending funds.

Is it possible to see at a glance if the parcels have changed to SD?  I am looking at mine and all show what it showed 2 weeks ago ie postage at £3.75 which is what I charged for small parcel.  Do I have to click on each one to see if it has changed to SD?   What exactly am I looking for to see if it has changed to SD?
