I've just uploaded four lots, was able to select custom postage with no issues.
Having spent £40 on postage this weekend, I'm definitely more swayed with the SD option.

My layout for SD has just changed on my LL items under 100g and under £10 in total for a couple I decided to relist with better photos.

Instead of advanced or Simple delivery being my options in line with other listings, or just my own postage (as previously with most of my LLs) I now have another tab for Custom postage, and choosing that allows me to continue adding my own postage and ignoring SD.

I can either manually add my postage and options or just use an existing business policy, which I have chosen to do.
Hi, do you have a screen shot? I manged to set up a delivery policy but cannot find how to change to this policy.
I'm on a PC so screenshots are a bit difficult as I'm not techie but I just use the old system for switching to my own policy which i have mentioned above,

If you're on Windows, pressing Win+PrtScr (windows button, and print screen) should do it.  Then I would use Paint to redact any personal info (and crop at the same time, if required).

[Edit: sorry it wasn't clear above, I just meant for future reference, not in any way implying that you now ought to try it for this thread - I wouldn't be so presumptuous.]
I’ve actually shared screen shots twice over the years on here, both times, despite re reading everything I managed to leave something identifiable so I no longer trust my abilities to do anything sensible. 😀
    Fair enough!

Screen capture has moved on since Win+Print Screen.
For a long time now the tool has been built in to the Windows operating system,

There may be another tool but Win+Printscreen does still work, fast and easy - I use it all the time on my laptop (Windows 11) ;)

I am opting for SD on my parcel items as if you allow both courier options it’s cheaper than RM, and it has definitely triggered a flurry of sales for me. I am sticking with my own postage on LLs though .

Evri isn’t an issue for me at the moment, it’s closer than RM and it saves me queuing for 20 minutes plus in the PO on days where I have no business post that actually needs the PO. Also with SD we have an automatic 3 day despatch , so I can take my time if I wish.

So far all but one of my parcel sales has been with Evri, and I suspect the headline cheaper postage has persuaded buyers into buying things I have had listed for months in some cases.

We're lucky as our PO is open until 9pm 7 days a week and local. Our nearest Evri drop off is 10mins in the car, limited opening times and terrible parking.
But with a 3 day turnaround it would probably be easier to go to another Evri drop off and incorporate it into other errands

I think I may have misunderstood the original post. My issue is that most of my items are made to order, and used to have 10 working days to make, but they new change is showing it takes 3 days to post, which is not always possible.
I have managed to enter 10 days for dispatch, but it is being overridden. Looks like I may have to stop selling on Ebay.

I agree, a lot of the choices will depend on the convenience for the seller of dropping things off. I live in Greater London, we have very poor PO coverage with short hours and long queues, one of the larger POs I occasionally use if I''m out in the car is closing this summer as well. I have a friend who moved to a small village in Norfolk with a PO and a couple of shops (one takes Evri ) , their PO now runs very reduced minimal services with it being closed several days a week and only open a few hours at other times - and where it looks like it is going for good shortly with a once a week mobile service being talked about.

Locally I have an Evri shop on my usual walk into Town, most of the Tesco Express shops here take Evri as well, plus, if I do have some PO items, a couple of POs that I drive to take Evri (including the PO that is shutting down and which will be a great loss to a lot of people as it is always very busy).

I accept though that for some people, especially those who rely on the RM collection service , they have to disable Evri. I just think it is unfair that if Evri is disabled under the SD scheme, the RM costs are increased. I can't see why Ebay penalise people who have to opt out of one or the other of the 2 services offered.

EDIT - did some Googling (should have done that first I know, but MSE-ers are so knowledgable) - looks like I've been moved to the "new" (2022?) listing service and it doesn't like that I offer free collection. Turned off collection and all fine... so confusing.

More here just for a moan, but any advice welcomed!
I'm re-listing something that I want to send as a RM Large Letter (cheaper than the costs offered by "Simple" Delivery.
I've set it all up as I normally would, I've overridden the SD and put it as RM large letter with the appropriate weight, but when I click "list" I get a banner at the top saying
"If overrides are provided for domestic postage, you need to provide overrides for all services in domestic postage."
I've gone back to the postage section on the draft listing but can't see anything else to change or override :(

I've not seen that message talked about anywhere yet, it doesn't actually seem to make much sense. It suggests that your postage policy has more than one option, do you for instance offer RM 1st or 2nd, or something like that? Even then if it is via the business policy then it is just one policy and the over rise should over ride everything.

Looks like I have sorted my MTO time, but cannot work out how to change this: Flat rate postage(paid by Buyer).
This gives the buyer options and does not match my pricing.

I've not looked at this for a while.  I have a few listings that were live before the SD change.  I've checked a couple of them which have not yet been forced onto SD, they still have the custom postage option.  Is there an easy way to see if listings are on SD or not without editing each listing individually?
