Today I painted the random strip of wood left from removal of the screen to stop the nasty neighbour staring at us when we’re sat in our patio. It’s bright yellow now and looking very random. Needs a second coat tomorrow and then when my two Spanish pots arrive everyone will see sense - she hopes!
That is all - we went out for lunch and it was glorious.Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

Recognising when a rest day is needed is very productive @redofromstart
That sounds an important realisation @Blackcats, glad the thread is helping with something so useful and meaningful

At least I think that's @beanielou *squints*
Neighbour can see as much or as little sense as they like @Sallyforth, as long as they're not seeing you when you're trying to relax on your own property!
Well done on getting the first coat on, weather for these here parts (London) has forecast of rain for next few days, hopefully yours is decent enough for the second coat to be done3 -

No progress on self declared OATs but did get started on the courtyard tidying (dribbled render removal and green sludge removal from the pond) and TLCing which was very satisfying 😊 Got some proper gardening to do out there tomorrow - cutting back the ferns, thinning some of the hardy geraniums that are swamping the fuchsia and the azalea and then mulching 😊

My extra thing today was descaling the kettle, which has been done. Not well, but things don't have to be perfect, just improved2

We are still on holiday, but I bought a couple of home styling magazines in a charity shop for 20p each and now have more ideas for things to add to my lists 🙈 Clearly none of these will get done before the end of March though (unless I abandon the original list!!).
I'm very aware it's easy to be productive in your head when you're lazing around on holiday - and quite another when you're back home trying to fit the DOING around work 😂3 -
Courtyard is finished! Really pleased with how it looks 😊

Forgot to mention I booked our little Mini in for its biannual (tending towards annual) full valet last week. Lovely young man turned up bang on time today and performed his usual stirling job. This is not very MSE but DH can’t do it anymore and I haven’t and never will wash or clean a car as it’s not in my DNA!
We trimmed the cats claws - that’s enough for one day.

Well done PIP - fewer scales in the kettle is a good outcome!
@Cheery_Daff - I am so productive in my head. Right now I'm imagining that I'm turning up the hem on a pair of joggers for my dad, whereas the reality is I'm browsing diaries and drinking tea,
@KajiKita - great work on the courtyard - you are awarded the prize for productivity today. See how I've made myself the sole judge for today's awards. Everyone else can also have a prize too.
@Sallyforth - trimming the cat's claws is a massive achievement. I tried it once and got shredded - never again!
only one green tick for the list today but I'm pleased to cross that particular task off the list.4 -
I spent a painful but productive couple of hours cutting down a huge horrible dog rose and trimming back a flowering currant. Both green waste bins filled and a south facing brick wall freed up for planting. Hadn't seen that corner for years. This evening I went through a pile of paper, 80% for shredding as it is now over a year since I left my job, so there us a reward for procrastination sometimes. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
