Despite not managing to post here for the last few days I have been working on my OATs. No progress will be happening today as I need to taxi the children around more than anticipated as a major local road has been closed without warning resulting in no bus service.
I'm another who would appreciate a version of this thread in April.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

My kitchen shelf was annoying me as it was very untidy and cluttered and I finally sorted through it and cleaned and rearranged everything this morning.
I just organised a weekend away to Folkestone so I booked the hotel and booked my cat in at the cattery. I need to call up to book my dog in too. I finished another book today so that is 5 books so far this year, which is not that good as I said I was going to read 100 books this year, but better than nothing.2 -
I have spun back through the thread to remind myself of what OATs are ....
Outstanding Annoying Task

An administrative OAT for me today - contacted Halfords AGAIN about my complaint which they have failed to resolve 🙄 No online chat people available, got cut off on the phone three times, but eventually I managed to speak to a person. I'm promised an actual response within 48 hours, but I won't hold my breath 🙄
Busying myself in the garden making a new hay box out of bits of old wood. A cheerful project, and part of a bigger ongoing OAT (sorting out the offshot/utility room) - this means I'll be able to get rid of the large red plastic tub I've been using for a hay box, which takes up loads of room and doesn't look very nice.
Of course this is identifying many other tasks (mostly around tool storage) which all feed into the biggest task - sorting out the garage 😱
But we are NOT focusing on that right now, one thing at a time, and small, achievable things for now 😊2 -
I decided to have a nice walk in the afternoon sun to drop a bag of donations to the charity shop and my halo was positively dazzling as I strode purposefully down the road, There were a couple of volunteers chatting about how it's best to take whatever stuff they wanted to buy out to the back of the shop quickly so no-one else could buy it which rankled a bit but I put on my best smile and proffered my carefully curated bag of really nice bits and bobs. "Oh no, we don't want that" said one lady "NO! We are full" exclaimed the other. Then they asked to rifle through the bag to see if they might accept it, but I declined and said I'd take it elsewhere. As I trudged home all I could think was that there would be no green tick on my OAT list. There isn't another charity shop in walking distance so I've put the bag in the boot of the car ready to donate to another charity and awarded myself half a green tick for effort. By the way half a tick is a diagonal line but that's good enough for me today! Will try and find a couple of quick wins later too.4

Glad you're ploughing on with the OATs @Baileys_Babe. How annoying about the road closure
Ooh lovely clean tidy shelf @Wednesday2000
Great holibob progress, and the year is still young for book reading!
That's awful service @Cheery_Daff

Ombudsman info on that page if they don't get back to you in the promised 48 hours!
Hay box sounds lovely, and yes, one step at a time 💪
I think you get a full tick @Blackcats for a walk, in the sunshine, having a bag now immediately ready for charity, and declining to allow liberties to be taken

I got my admin bits done and did a listing that had been on the list for far too long.
Tomorrow evening we have to do an annoying video call about our build, so I'm not feeling too enthused about fitting anything extra in, but we're in the last week of March so I will determine to do an OAT.
I want to repot a couple of plants but I'm concerned about opening the bag of compost and creating more hiding places for this blimmin mouse on the loose!
I did recently win a competition so tomorrow I will make sure to do the social media admin associated with that, which isn't a hugely arduous task but could easily be rolled over from day to day (to day to day...)1 -
Just loving this thread. It reminds me of one I used to follow on The Motley Fool years ago - I seem to remember it was something called “Your tomorrow starts today” and every month a contributor started a new thread with a new name similar to this. So for example next month could be “April Ambitions” or whatever. I’d be game.
So today I continued with an extremely tedious Mystery Shop assignment which isn’t actually mysterious because it’s what’s called open so I can march into said supermarket and maws the product. Just not worth the paltry fee but go towards “fun spending”.
Also returned a failed big river purchase and already been refunded the £5.98.
Second coated bit of random wood so hoping to put ceramic pots up tomorrow and plan to buy something to put in them on Wednesday when it’s 10% over 60 day + double points week at the local garden centre.
