I sorted the car insurance for them both to drive DS1 car now that they have both passed, and as an absolute billy bonus the updated renewal with current people was £200 less than the lowest quote I had. Very surprised as the comparison people suggested that the current providers would be £500 higher! Must check the documents properly.
Not started on the paperwork yet but yes PIP 15 minute bursts is the way to go. The confidential waste don't take notepads, I would have to remove them from the covers so that is no use to me. The answer is probably the incinerator bin and ignore the moaning. I have to live with the stench of barbecues regularly, so it is quite annoying that the same people complain about late evening bonfires on overcast days with no wind. Moan, moan, moan

Wonderful progress @Baileys_Babe, how nice of your friend too
That sounds like a grand start to a 'making daily life easier' solution @KajiKita
Your back will thank you @doingitanyway!
I sorted out the TfL enquiry, found out that music magpie take old laptops (albeit I haven't checked if they take these yet but it's progress!), and will write to my friend tomorrow- got somewhat distracted by trying to find the moose loose about the hoose (well, the mouse that I saw in the study)4 -
I did it. I posted the letter!
I got in from work at lunchtime, had lunch, fancied a nap before my afternoon work, but read this thread and got back in the car to go to the post office. Thank you all for the encouragement. I still had a nap.Debts 04/01/25 01/07/25

not much progress - but - 12 inches of shelf space gained as cookery books cleared - a neat little pile for 'browsing' and 'deciding' on coffee table and project list not yet on board but being added to and two phones sorted out for donating as they are perfectly nice working phones but need a land line and foolishly I went to VOIP for business
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Aren't we all doing well!
I was so motivated by crossing an item off the list that I gave myself permission to sit in the garden room with a cup of tea, some music and finished off the jumper I've knitted for grandson's birthday. I really dislike the finishing off and sewing up of knitting. My mum used to do it for me but now I have to be a grown up crafter and do it myself. Anyway it's done with a couple of weeks to spare.
also did a finance related task.
I thought I had successfully delegated a task to MrBC but so far no progress has been made.

Thanks @Blackcats for the email admin tip - it’s on a list to set up but probably next week now as things today went a bit off kilter.
Not much achieved apart from wild goose chases to find pots to fit the new wall mounted holder. It said 14cm so in my naivety I took that as red and even measured a bit of paper to put in my handbag so I wouldn’t get it wrong. I dragged poor Mr SF first to Bee & Kew to get the little pot of yellow paint (tick) then persuaded him to drive me to a posh garden centre where I spent more on two ferns than all the spring flowers put together. A Heuchera Forever Red was chosen by DH so as he normally had zero interest in plants I bought it along with two quite pleasant 14cm greyish pots.
Got home, replanted the plants into said pots and guess what? Yep they went straight through the flipping “14cm” ring holder! This will teach me.
So tomorrow is another day.

I'm in 😁 Everyone seems to be doing really well so far. I need to make a list of things I keep putting off but this alone may well take me to the end of next March 😆
However so far this week:- Applied for and already received new GHIC cards ready for our April holiday
- Renewed a magazine subscription early and saved myself £20 on the price it was due to renew at
- Ticked some jobs off my work to do list that I'd been putting off for some time
- Pulled up the weeds in the drive that I'd been putting off doing - took me 10 minutes, there weren't that many
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Today I have doctors appointment - regaining mental health is part of going into April so pleased have appointment.
Then the next part is to review the list and see if I can make a plan for the jobs. This doesn't mean doing them, it means working out in my head "how to".
Then I will look through at least one of the "pile" on the coffee table.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
