I hosted guests like this too & never had that. My mum was the Scottish organiser for the trips & no other hosts had that. I would also ask her.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I think it is cheeky to be taking your fruit to eat at lunchtime. You are obviously paid to provide breakfast and dinner, not to subsidise lunch. I would be tempted to ask about the forks too. Very odd, that she commented on them so much and then they went missing. This is certainly a learning curve!3

What a shame about the forks dia especially considering all the effort you’ve gone to for your guests. I don’t think I would ask her but entirely up to you of course. How much fruit does she take? Is this the guest that only eats fruit for breakfast?0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks @beanielou and @dawnybabes I wouldn't ask as we have to live together for another 9 days, besides I might be mistaken. But as @Moneywhizz said it is odd that she was so thrilled with the forks and now two are missing.
Thanks @Skint_yet_Again I will still keep up my efforts. I could be wrong and even if I am right, to quote Michelle Obama 'when they go low, we go high'
Yes, she has fruit for breakfast and toast, no cereal, so fruit at the table is fine but taking fruit with her bugs me. But, I am going to let it go, whilst she is here. If I was picking up my Mr L box it wouldn't bother me I'm sure.
In other news I had a lovely coat made of virgin wool. The label said DO NOT WASH but of course I knew better, so I washed it on a cold wash with a minimal spin. Reader, don't do that, it will still shrink...So, now I have a warm jacket to wear in the house over my PJs in the winter
I made a leek and chickpea dish that I served with some YS gammon steaks.
Tomorrow is a regional fish dish courtesy of my houseguest. Whilst she is at work I will stop for ingredients for her dish. I do like fish so looking forward to it.
Thursday, she is eating out with friends, so no cooking for me until Friday
Ending my day with more energy than yesterday, so that is good!

She might have just taken a couple of forks to send a picture to a friend then forgotten about them, probably nothing dodgy if she seems decent otherwise.
Fruit issue is a bit annoying but she's probably just considering it as still part of the breakfast supplies rather than deliberately taking the mick.
You're doing so well managing all these different characters and the things that crop up, what a learning experience!4 -
Thanks @Skint_yet_Again the wool coat was totally my fault. I took a risk that did not pay off...
Thanks PIP. She does seem decent otherwise. Having strangers in my home will inevitably throw up regular annoyances. It helps to come on here and have a moan
So, I have been out this morning. We have a refill place where prices are very reasonable. Epsom salts are half the price I see in the shops. I also bought white rice for my guests meal this evening
I did a charity shop drop off. The items were in the lobby making it difficult to get in or out!
I decluttered the shoes in my tiny lobby. I have a small shoe rack in the lobby now
I cleaned off my doorstep as it had been heavily urinated on by a dog (I assume) I looked it up and white vinegar deters them doing it again, so I have a spray bottle of vinegar I will use in future when I water the plants at the front.
I have been walking over the legs of a dining table for weeks. I took the legs off and propped it against the wall
I have an online shop arriving this afternoon
I bought the fish for tonight. Some nice Gilthead Bream.
My houseplants were looking a bit limp so watering has been done.
Off to wash up

Maybe the forks will turn up somewhere in the room when your guest has left - just a thought as forks used to disappear in DD's room and turn up later.
Could you buy a set of plain cheap forks for future guests?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
