Living Large, on a Small Income, by the Sea.

I am living by the sea in a beautiful house. (I can’t believe that sentence is about me) I have spent two years living in other people’s homes. I ended up on a sofa for several months. The joy of my own home, my own key, my own bed…it is indescribable.
I had to go to the top of my budget to buy the house, but it is exactly where I wanted it to be. The downside is I am in a small amount of debt (under £1000) and have no savings. When I arrived there was heavy rainfall and the gutters were hanging off so water gushed onto my walls. I finally found a roofer and got them fixed. I paid for other necessary around the house that wiped out my tiny savings.
It is insane to have a house, debt and no savings. Houses can and do go wrong so this needs to be rectified as a matter of urgency. I will be back with a plan to deal with this.
I have a very lovely spare room that I plan to be use to generate an income. I don’t want a permanent lodger... but I need some income. I am in talks with a local theatre who might be able to send touring theatre folk my way. I live in a place with various festivals so I need to talk with the organisers so I can host their participants in the lovely room.
Up until last week I did not have internet. It has taken me this long to get it sorted…I know…
I was never going to have a big income in this new chapter of my life and I am ok with that. I would rather have freedom and time. Thanks to this community I have the skills to live large on less. I hope some of you will join me.

So pleased to see that the move went ahead and that you love your house, it took a long time for you to get here. No Internet for all these months, that must’ve been hard! I’m looking forward to hearing more about it all. Congratulations on having your own front door again.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone.
