Thanks @liselle
The washing machine arrived and I did two lots of washing, that are outside on an airer drying. The washing machine kept moving when it was on a spin, so they came back to level it out. It is a relief to be able to wash clothes and have them come out clean again.
I finally totalled my debts instead of guessing. I should know from new diarists, that the debts are always more than the rough guide...Anyway, here goes...
number 1 =550 (interest free)
number 2 =569 (27% interest)
Total debt=1,119.00
March debt
number 1 increases Balance C/F =800
number 2/Pay 450 off my CC Balance C/F = 119
DEBT PAID 200
Total debt remaining =919
April debt
number 1 no payment
number 2 pay 119 CREDIT CARD PAID
DEBT PAID 119
Total debt remaining=800
I am expecting an extra 200 in April, so it will be split 100 to debt and 100 to savings. By the end of April I want 100 in savings and 700 in debt
I am going to go back to NSDs as they make me feel richer. So... if I have £50 over 4 days, it feels better than having £50 over 7 days. So my plan is to have 2 NSDs next week and 3 NSDs a week in April.
Tomorrow I am buying an outside broom. My little back garden is a junk yard, but I went out there today to dry washing. I am going to sweep it. I will sweep the front too and clean the doors and windows at ground level. My council disposes of 3 items for £35 (I think) so going to do that next week. I would love some herbs to plant in a pot at the front so this weekend- clean front window and doors
- plant up a pot of herbs for front
- clean bathroom window
- sweep front of house and junk yard at the back
- clean kitchen window and door
Tomorrow I am seeing a film in the afternoon, meeting friends for a coffee and going to yoga. The film is prepaid. Yoga and coffee are £8

I always feel better with a plan.
So pleased your WM is sorted, one of those things that is so frustrating otherwise. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Fab you've got the WM, it is definitely not mse to be running a machine that doesn't blimmin do it's job, not even counting the impact on your ability and wellbeing when things that should be clean are manky!
That sounds a lovely and not too costly afternoon, hope you have a grand time.
Have you checked out if there's olio happenings in your new area? No harm in having the app in case someone is getting rid of a broom or could make use of the things you're getting rid of5 -
Thanks @redofromstart the WM is wonderful. There was a room dedicated to dirty washing that I can slowly return to being a room again. Someone has a lovely bed to give me so I only need to buy a mattress. It could be a fully functioning bedroom in weeks
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I haven't checked out olio. I will look into it...
So, today I had coffee with two new people. We all paid for our own so it wasn't expensive
My back felt sore and has for a few days so I didn't go to yoga I rested it instead. I did see the film and that was good. The antique shop had some lovely lampshades. One was only £30. I know, it isn't an only. I have it here on trial...it really is lovely. Is it worth 4 days on beans on toast? Probably...
I think I will go back to frog eating...being on @PennysIntoPounds diary for Spring Equinox 'getting annoying things done' has reminded me that listing the things I don't want to do works well for me. Even if they take me a while to get them done!
I helped a young family member out of a financial tightspot...they haven't paid it back and sent some excuses today, which is tiring. I think the true annoyance is with myself for not having money put by to help those younger relatives that need it.
I am stalling on creating an income from the spare room. I have the details for the woman from the theatre. I will take pics and email her this weekend.
I hope everyone is ok and looking forward to the weekend

@doingitanyway I read your posts with interest, I too want the time and freedom, though not quite there yet! It's always really lovely to read when someone has achieved their dream and or goal. When I get to the next chapter in my life I won't have a big income either but I'm fine with that, I know I will be so happy having freedom.3
-
Am I misremembering or have you had that issue with a younger family member before?
Don't be annoyed with yourself for not having spare money to support other people's lives! We'd all love to be squillionaires who could hand out funds with no worries but that you don't is seriously not a reflection on you, that's just being normal!
I'm sure the spare room will be speedily snapped up once you're ready, it's completely fine for you to want to get your home as you want it before embarking on that5 -
Wow DIA, you've done it. Congratulations and by the sea too. Onwards and upwards.
Am wishing you all the best in your new home.
I first read your diary in your previous house with the squirrels. How long ago was that?
You will get there, you always do.
I used to live in a house overlooking the sea. It changes the scenery every day and never fails to create interest and wonder. I can still see a bit of sea (far away) from the top of my road, plus the countryside, a river and the moors. Truly blessed. We are so lucky.
Positives vibes from me to you xxx

You are very generous towards your family dia. I am sorry to hear they have not paid you back and you are now in debt. Have you told them it’s now costing you interest? Some of my family have made comments about me being rich but thankfully they have not asked for any money because I would have to be hard and say no.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks @Saver73 I I can resolve money issues, but I can't control time. My username is doing it anyway. I probably should wait longer/work longer and defer my dream, but I didn't. I have a small income but I'm doing it anyway!
Thanks @Skint_yet_Again It is true. I am over generous and not sensible enough when it comes to family. I worry about the younger family members. This one has never asked before so I said yes, despite not being able to afford it. I let them keep half of the money for their birthday and asked the other half be repaid weeks ago. It hasn't been. I think it will be in the end, but now I feel able to say no if they ask again and explain they let me down the last time and caused me difficulty financially.
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds it was another younger family member last time. He paid me back in the end. But you are right I can't afford it right now and don't need to feel bad about that
Re the little bedroom with the washing that is a different room to the spare/income generating room that is ready but I am stalling. I can't afford to despite not being quite ready psychologically...
Thanks @Mrs_Boo_Boo So good to hear from you! The squirrels in the loft was 4 years ago. That time was a real low for me! I do feel very lucky every time I open my front door. It sounds very lovely where you are too. I hope all is going well for you. Do update us on your diaryIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. There seem to be so many spending temptations presenting themselves....my fave clothes company has a sale...a shop closing down has bargains...an antique shop has some nice pieces...friend wanted to go for brunch...mostly resisted...except for one long cushion/Japanese mattress from the closing-down shop and yesterdays lampshade...just one!
I saw a film today. If I take out membership I save £4 on each ticket. It costs £70 a year so I would save £138 a year if I see one film a week or £72 a year if I see 2 films a month... I will do that at some stage
I took a seaside walk with a friend, then had tea with her.
I made a dal and resisted eating out
I bought an outside broom and I am looking forward to using it outside tomorrow
My council will take 3 items for £35 so need to get the junk in the garden reduced to 3 items!!
I have £9 to last Sunday and Monday so will walk to Mr L tomorrow to see how far I can stretch it
