Sorry, I completely lost the plot for a moment, serves me right for thinking I can switch between technological conversations! What I meant to ask you was how are the plans for the alley going and how you're feeling about it3
-
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds The alley has been cleared bow all the fly tipping. However, I can feel myself backing off. I am having second thoughts. I am feeling like a pushy incomer.
I had a very full Sunday. Three appointments. All very nice, especially yoga, but even so...maybe it was the heat, but I ended up exhausted.
I had the house to myself last night as my house guest was in London overnight. She is back today. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed having my space all to myself. My guest goes back next Friday. I am doing a countdown...
Today I've done three loads of washing. I made soup (yes, in this weather) I prepped some turkey burgers. I ate a salad at lunchtime.
I've gone back to not eating until midday. This is day three. My body works much better with a smaller eating window.
A friend I used to stay with had PJ days, where she went at a leisurely pace and did not get dressed. I'm having one of thoseI did an online shop but left it in the basket. The DW went on. I generally wash-up but use the DW when the kitchen gets out of hand.
I have no decent (or even indecent) chocolate and want some...
A NSD today
Off to tackle the kitchen again. I am doing the kitchen in stages as it is so messy
I hope your week got off to a good start

See what arises organically with your ideas or conversations with neighbours about the alley, no need to make yourself feel uncomfortable if you're not in the mood. Great that all the flytipping has gone.
You sound weary. Hope you perk up as the temperature falls this week- and you'll be even nearer to having your home back to yourself! Is there somewhere nearby you can get a bar of chocolate?3 -

Aah dia, " the heat, the flies and the drums.. those damned drums"😉, tis enough to drive us to the edge! I always feel edgy with the heat, especially if it's that all encompassing type we have atm. Sleep is elusive and we just get a little worn by it. However..... great idea to make soup! By coincidence, my husband bought some cracking beetroot from the allotment and made soup and i made bread using heritage flour with spelt and einkorn flour. Despite the heat I found it very soothing. I think despite the need to have income, and the nice guest, it's a very natural emotion to want your own space back. Will there be others after this one? Try to stay cool4

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds
I am a little less weary today.
Thanks for the virtual chocolate @beanielou...the real stuff will happen today
Thanks @Tresinia511 I will try to stay cool! My veg box had amazing beetrootI used the tops in salad as they were so fresh. I have yet to try bread in the bread maker but will do soon as shop bought isn't as good and it is crazily expensive to buy good wheat and gluten free bread.
So, I have a few missing forks. My current guest has expressed endless admiration for the forks...or maybe I have thrown out a few forks inadvertently with some rubbish...Anyway, I think I will leave breakfast on the dining table with the next set of guests and have the kitchen as an out of bounds area. I leave a big fruit bowl in the living area and I've noticed guests help, themselves at breakfast which is ok, but now I've noticed them taking fruit with them when they leave for work as well as what they eat at breakfast... Is that cheeky or am I being a bit mean? Either way, I will keep my fruit bowl in the kitchen now. I was never comfortable sharing the kitchen space anyway. It is a small kitchen and doesn't function with two people in there at the same time. I have said the current guest can cook in there tomorrow so that will go ahead, but I won't invite future guests to do the same. The forks, although beautiful Royal Doulton, in true MSE style were picked up in a CS so cost me pennies...
So today, I spoke to a health practitioner who was helpful. I'm eternally thankful for a good GP surgery
I am making a list for the shops and will do a walk about after 2pm to get some bits and pieces. Tonight's meal is undecided. I am so much more relaxed about meals for my guests now
Another slow day for me, but not as slow as yesterday as I have a bit more energy...
The countdown has begun. Nine days to go
Wishing everyone a good-enough day with a little joy thrown in somewhere
