Best of luck with your guests. Many years ago I regularly hosted guests from overseas I found keeping a folder of recipes/meals etc certainly made it easier over time x2

Thanks @beanielou @Skint_yet_Again @Sunshine_girl2 @Sun_Addict @Four_Seasons @jwil @PennysIntoPounds
It is all going well. Both are nice enough people. One of the 2 had a half hour shower so we had a gentle chat about my water being metered and very expensive, so they should limit the length of their showers. I will address this again if needs be...this reinforces my decision to only do this in the summer as the additional heating costs would eat into the benefit of doing this.
My idea that we all go veggie to accommodate the veggie did not workso I will be adapting meals slightly sometimes, without cooking separate meals...today pasta was requested. I have tons of veggies due to my veg boxes so tonight is roasted veggies, a homemade tomato and basil sauce on pasta with feta cheese. Both said that sounded good. I plan on going for a veg box on Sunday morning as they are both off on a trip, so out early. The veg boxes are key to my much lower food bills
Thanks to @savingholmes who pointed out that not everyone liked porridge, so I bought cornflakes (and was willing to buy other things but both like cornflakes, and both are happy with that with toast. I have a surface that all breakfast things are laid out on the side and it is DIY. I just make a pot of coffee to share with one of the two. Easy
I had a gas safety check done so that cost a bit, but essential and a requirement of doing this. The guy was lovely and also does boiler servicing, so a useful contact and much cheaper than BG
I got the fans ready as temperatures are due to be in the 30s where I am
I hope your day went well
