About 2 years ago I stayed at a friend's house and loved her duvet so much I bought one for myself when I got home. It was from Marts and Sponsor 🤣
Bit of a pain that their online shop is still down, but I can recommend their quilts and they weren't too expensive (at least they weren't 2 years ago).Debts 04/01/25 02/08/25

Dia, such bad form from jl. I have heard from others that they are not as trustworthy as they once were. It seems almost ridiculous that you can't rely on trusted names these days. Yes we can complain but honestly who needs that negativity when you just want to buy something quality! Great choice on the chicken btw, healthy, tasty and comforting without any downsides😋4

I'm trying to envision myself as a wholesome person who does baking when I look at my won mixing bowl and all I can see is 'that'll make a pleasingly fancy houseplant container' 😂
Thanks @Sun_Addict and @beanielou
Thanks @mark55man your secret is out @Skint_yet_Again is also fond of a ready cooked chicken too
Thanks @rachmac3 I will check out Marts and Sponsor when It resumes normal service as I will need winter duvets at some point
Thanks @Tresinia511 the comfort of a roast chicken eh?I stuffed mine with pumpkin, millet flakes, smoked paprika, lime, garlic and thyme. It is covered with herbs and lemon and olive oil. It will take several hours in the SC but I am already a little bit happy!

I had a lovely day yesterday at a nearby seaside town. It was a field trip with the committee I am part of. Lunch in a nice restaurant.
The really good thing is I had another idea for a minuscule income stream that combines a few passions and skills. Someone at the seaside town does it now and I can easily bring it to where I am. Strangely, I used to do something similar, but in a completely different setting, so I had not thought of it for here. It could not happen without this home, without this setting. It is a good reminder that I need to make sure I am out and about doing things, as that is how by brain fires up creatively.
Today I will continue decluttering and try to resolve the duvet issue (Done but due the day before the guests!!)
I have a physical paper, so will enjoy that.
A small walk, maybe bake a cake.
Wash my front door and tackle the kitchen window, door, and bathroom window. They have seagull poo on them. I need to see there are nesting seagulls on my roof. Either way, when the scaffolding goes up next year for the wood burner, I will use the opportunity to put up spikes, so they go elsewhere! (Older readers will remember the squirrels. I don't want any animals on my roof thank you very much!)
A friend is opening an art thingy along the seafront so I will cycle there to take a look.
A few phone calls, a bit of reading and that will be my Sunday
Wishing everyone a good enough day

Thanks @jwil and @Skint_yet_Again
Yesterday, I did not go to the art thingy or wash the windows, doors. I did not bake a cake.
I'm trying to get the house in working order! It is difficult to move things by myself and with my back being what it is...so shifting one box upstairs might take 5 trips. Anyway, a box is upstairs now. I am going to further divide the boxes so decorating, plumbing, electrics etc...
I think of @Onebrokelady where I lurk. She is currently very unwell but breaks tasks down and rests in-between and manages to get so much done!
Anyway, the bedrooms are ready for the mattress protectors and are nicely clear of stuff
A friend showed me how to do the V app. I'm thinking of listing some things on there as I have scores of vintage handbags. It might be a good way of declutterring and adding some money to my depleted accounts!.
My water filter arrived. It is a glass water filter so quite nice. My days of bottled plastic are nearing an end. I will still have glass Pel.... naturally sparkling as a treat
I cycled along the seafront and walked a bit too when cycling became too tiring! I had to visit my surgery this morning. Today has been a NSD. I wanted something sweet, so rather than spending I baked a cake. Probably not that MSE as I didn't plan it or I could have made a quiche at the same time!
It didn't look like I had anything in to make a meal, but I found some bits and pieces, and magic! A meal
I hope everyones start to the week went well enough...

I really recommend V, I love that it gives you the option to see what similar things are selling for so you don't price too high or too low.
If you haven't already, do go into 'settings' then 'postage' to make sure you can access all the post options people can choose from so you don't have faff just in case there's not a certain provider near you6 -

The way my friend showed me is you get the QR code, take it to the PO and post. No? Already thinking I will deal with it in the winter when I have no guests...
So, I have a small health issue that is making me tired...
I slept poorly but was up early as I wanted to get a Mr L box and a few other bits. They have cans of olives that are a real treat, so I put those away to do with toasted cumin and orange. I bought some turkey mince and feta and oregano to make burgers. The veg box had little cucumbers so I will do a greek salad to go with them
cantaloupe
mini cucumbers
cherries
large red pepper
cauliflower
bunched beetroots
3 oranges
1 apple
2 packets of tomatoes
9 large potatoes
Box all excellent quality except one mini cucumber! Not bad at all
Tomatoes need using so will make a tomato soup in the soup maker.
Roasted veggies as the beetroot will be nice roasted...
I have a backlog of potatoes so my guests will have jacket potatoes once a week and a potato tortilla once a week too
The house is a mess again so today will be rest, walking, reading and getting on top of the house again
Have a good day everyone

People can choose which postal service/courier they use, such as Royal Mail, or e.g Yodel which you can drop off or pick up at a shop like a newsagents that provides that service.
So people choose which is most convenient for them to receive your parcel. If it's inconvenient for you to send it that way, such as if there isn't a shop near you that does e.g. Yodel, then you can unselect it from your settings.
I promise it's easy to find and do!
Hope you have a restful day and feel much better later5
