Up early and out early I took a long route and was 10 minutes late for the F&V box but so was the person putting them out so I got one anyway. I like Mr L turkey leg mince. Planning on splitting the packet. Chickpea, feta and turkey burgers and chilli bulked with lentils with the other half. Both are nutritious, tasty easy and cheap meals that can prepped in advance for guests. Trying them out today...
I have enough veg so was hoping for more fruit in the veg box
6 nectarines
1 leek
2 avocados
4 large red and orange peppers
1 galia melon
1 cauliflower
1 orange
1 mango
I bought a bag of pears too. Fruit bowl is looking good
There were also 3 green apples but I don't like them so left them in the other boxes
Everything was in good condition
I am picking up a book today (I know) it is SH bookshop that searches for books you want that may be out of print. The good news is I sounded them out on buying books so I will take some to sell too. Anything they don't want I will drop off at the CS on the way back.
I haven't found a desk for working on yet. For now I will find a lovely cover for my office chair and use it at my dining table to work on...
Damp and windy here. I hope you are faring better.

Have you chosen what to plant in your le creuset?
I'm trying to envision myself as a wholesome person who does baking when I look at my won mixing bowl and all I can see is 'that'll make a pleasingly fancy houseplant container' 😂5 -
Roasted cauliflower sounds yum, do you season it at all? I had to apologise to my brother after a bit of a tiff, he lives a long way so we only speak by phone. But I was out of order after a little 😕 tipple, and next day was fretting. Apologies accepted and good humour restored is a great feeling. And must keep off the gin🫣5

@PennysIntoPounds I still have nothing in my potBut yours is too gorgeous for a plant!
@Tresinia511 I vary with seasoning for cauliflower. It can take very spicy or mild...Glad you cleared the air with your brother
Up early and got a wash done (out drying)
The duvets came from JL and were awful. Scant feathers/down and some squares completely empty. I was shocked by the poor quality. The boxes they came in were well worked open so I imagine they have gone back many times. It was a faff to rewrap them but I did and they were returned to the PO this morning. Pleased with myself as I wanted to ignore the whole thing! Delivery was haphazard too. The whole process, yuk!!
I had a long walk today and took the bus back
I had a health appointment. It went downhill after I asked a question the medic could not answer. They said they would research and get back to me in a few weeks. They called me half an hour later and admitted I was more informed than they were but they had done some research. As a result they prescribed the exact combination of help I had identified through some research. I am so relieved to get exactly the right thing for my circumstances. I am also very grateful we have an NHS
To celebrate the success of my appointment I went to buy a treat. Usually it would be some nice wine but I am cutting down so I thought what else would make me feel happy for the cost of a decent bottle....And....I bought a chickenA pot cooked stuffed chicken always makes me feel better so I will have that on Sunday
I hope everyone has had a good day

A chicken always brings delight - our guilty MSE secret is buying the ready cooked ones and having with a little salad with it. Then the kitty gets lucky when we are done.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine5
