Sorry to hear about the washing machine DIA but don’t blame you for replacing it. I would probably do the same now Dad is no longer around to sort such things for me. I struggle with face to face confrontation too. Hope the new one arrives soon and all is well

I would do the same. The cost of having to deal with such people is too high. I would write it off as a learning experience and move on.
Of course I live in a city with forty million launderettes so I never have to buy one lol

Thanks @Skint_yet_Again and @WelshmansDaughter 😊
I have been thinking about changes I might make due to the WM saga
Firstly I will buy local for things when I can but for very expensive items I will stick to j0l as I am confident when dealing with them when things go wrong
Secondly, my DS has insurance for her WM, cooker and DW. Saving to insure yourself is cheaper but the peace of mind for me might make it worth it. I will think about it. (To buy an extended warranty from j0l is much more expensive than insuring all 3 things so not good value)
I slept poorly as I had an early medical appt and didn't want to oversleep. Appt went ok.

Joints swollen and hurting 😐️
Successfully unblocked my sink 😉
I'm trying to get a sauna group together as it would be so good for my joints. Texts sent around that.
The house is messy again. Everywhere feels damp and cold…also, I'm feeling edgy again, so I might switch to camomile tea with honey and away from coffee for a bit…

I wonder if the issues with the WM, and them still being unresolved is weighing on you, coupled with knowing you had to get up by a certain time for your appointment. I know these kind of thing "throw me on my beam ends" until they are sorted or achieved.
I am sick of the damp weather. It isn't particularly cold up here today, but it's drizzly again and the sky is grey and it does not help mood. I am trying to find joy in the sightings of snowdrops and crocus but it's taking rather more effort than I feel it should.
Well done for all the accomplishments on your ta-daa list 🎉2 -
Apparently the sun won't be setting before 5pm again until October so that's something to cling on to in this seemingly endless drab dreich winter!

Read today that it has rained in England everyday since the beginning of this year. As long as we have a summer like last year, I can cope with the rain.

Thanks @joeyjimbles you are correct! Big (to me) unresolved issues weigh heavily 🤔 My sore body hates the damp. Crocuses and snowdrops are indeed cheery. I default to the sea for my walks but I am promising myself a park walk as that is where I can convince myself that Spring is on its way
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds seeing the days are longer helps 😊
Oh @amber03 what a depressing thought. yes, summer last year was lovely
Yesterday was a day I could wake up naturally so that was good. I walked into town despite very sore joints. I usually walk there. I noticed fares have doubled. Took a library book back so no fines for me 😉 Treated myself to a chocolate brownie but at least I took it home and made my own tea (MSE…sort of…) picked up some mostly YS bits in marksies.
I read a book from the library about staying on top of household chores. Quite a few good tips and some I will be taking forward. The overall message is the house is there to serve me. I am not here to serve the house. It is all about functionality. At this present time the ground level looks just fine 😊
Funds are low due to the WM so tomorrow I have found a few more odd earrings and a bracelet I don't like. If I sell them that should get me through the month without using my EF. That will be my frog tomorrow if the WM that is due to be delivered tomorrow comes early enough.
A froggie text sent first thing and person called me back pushing things on
I have had a few very sore days but I am much less sore this morning. I am very much looking forward to choir this evening
I hope you are having a good day

Choir yesterday was as good as I hoped and definitely improved my mood.
I have a new WM. They ran a short wash plus spin. I could barely hear the spin! Another plus was how nice and accommodating the fitters were. The old WM was collected 1 hour after the new one came in. The man who took the old WM was lovely. To take away an old machine would have cost me £30. All sorted. I felt instantly more settled. If anything goes wrong, and it shouldn't, there is a process I have more confidence in…
The shop I was going to sell to was closed. Luckily I had a buffer zone so I had access to some money despite running out. I really like having a buffer 😊
I am problem solving one step at a time. The remote that works my boiler hasn't been working. It isn't communicating with the boiler at all. I have changed batteries so it isn't that. I need to take it to a plumbers place to see if they can fix it. A new one is about £150. If it is not one thing it is another!
I am in less pain 😊
I have been wanting to make a crustless quiche after reading @jwil made one. I have lots of eggs. I have noticed marksies often have their blue eggs and Burford Browns reduced as they are at the display until date. But, the BB date is a week later. Anyway…I didn't have a fluted quiche dish but found one today for 50p. I have just put in my air fryer and it fits, so even better!
I have had a dentist frog for a few months but new appointment made! I have decided to have a local hygienist but I am sticking to my old dentist as I only see them annually. I will ring around to see if I can find a hygienist.
I hope your week is ending well
