Hot water bottles instead of heated throws definitely a good mse idea.
Hope it's all going well, I think you're so brave for having people stay, I hope you know how impressive you are.
Make sure to have nice things and treats for you as well so it's not all feeling 'on' for the whole duration!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Thank you @jwil I offered that or pizza and they chose pizza. Made it easy for me so I'm not complaining. I made turkey and feta meat balls today will have with potatoes and peasPennysIntoPounds said:Hot water bottles instead of heated throws definitely a good mse idea.

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds They appreciated the HW bottles so glad I got them
Yes, well the guests are essential, so getting on with it (and sometimes really enjoying it which is a surprise to me) I feel much more relaxed this time.
I'm thankful for the warmer weather. Just drizzling here. Yes, going well with house guestsSkint_yet_Again said:Hope all is going well with your house guests dia. Warmer temperatures forecast here for a few days but the trade off is more rain.
I have slightly higher outgoings as I now have a TVL. I am thinking about NF so that would be another outgoing. In April I will have a bit more income so that increase will be dealt with.
The guests are appreciative and bought me presents from their country. Beautiful linen tea towels and some chocolates. They are keeping the bathroom as I like it and have normal length showers. They are out all day. It feels like an easy one this time
I think I will stick to 2 people for no longer than 10 days as it suits me better.
I am much less overwhelmed and washing up as I go along and prepping as much as I can in advance
Anxiety has gone, so it must have been the anticipation of strangers in my home as @PennysIntoPounds and @joeyjimbles suggested...
Today:
change a pair of curtains over
clean bathroom
Hopefully more will be achieved but will do at least the above

Dia I can see how 2 people would be much easier. We did say last year that it was all a learning curve and here we are! Glad it's going well3

Thanks @Tresinia511

I've just eaten a frog. It was a big one so I have come on here to burp!
I spent 45 minutes trying to access an account I've never been able to access.
Customer advisor could not resolve it. In the end I asked him to spell out my email. Solved! They had spelt my email address incorrectly, so when I put in the correct one it issued a standard error. Frustrating, but got there in the end.
The second frog was not resolved. I have a call-back arranged tomorrow for that one...
Edited as I had only 2 to do things and I did not do them. Ah well, I will do them tomorrow...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Aarrrgh BB problems. I was promised a callback yesterday. Agent called back an hour later than scheduled. I was immediately transferred to the technical team. Stomached aggressive music for 10 minutes then they disconnected me.
I had lots of slow service and two temporary 'unable to contact server' I'm started to keep a log of when it happens now. Affected yesterday about 5 times and again today 3 times so far
I also want help on another technical issue
It is all enormously time wasting about something I don't want to care about. I would be happier in a stone cottage with no internet at all but everyone keeps telling me to join the 21st century so I am trying very hard to keep up with a digital world. But honestly? It isn't an improvement! (except of course for this little community of lovelies)
Off to try again with the 2 things I wanted to do yesterday...
Oh, and it is raining and grey and so very January!!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I always expect IT related things to perform better than they do. So frustrating! I'm glad you've got one issue sorted, I hope the BB problems will be sorted soon. We seem to be having issue after issue with the IT at work just lately, coincidentally since they changed BB provider!
Your latest guests sound lovely.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Dia this is one of those things in life which they have made it impossible to live a normal life without. So don't imagine you could be happy in your stone cottage because they darn wouldn't let you be!3

I am living in the Stone Age and still managing without BB but it means I use my phone for internet and I only have freeview tv. Sim only with g gaff using o 2 network. There is now fibre in the village via telegraph poles but I haven’t felt the need so far 😂❤️Mum 2018

BB problems and their dealings with you sound bad enough to go to an official complaint now, hopefully that'll give them enough of a kick up the router to sort the issues outhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1
