I'm with you on mainlining chocolate and trying to cut back on it!

Loads of good stufff happening, resisting family hints, approaching neighbours and dealing with the washing machine, plus a break to look forward to!

I hope all goes well with the house guests :)

When the final christmas chocolate is gone  I too will be giving it up!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    I won't 😂🥂

Glad the WM got sorted and you had a good interaction with the shop owner.

Bound to make you feel a bit odd, having new people in your home and the responsibilities and boundaries that come with it. You've smashed it before and will do so again, and your savings will look all lovely and shiny 😊

I wonder if like me you are more apprehensive and worked up before something happens, but then feel better when you are 'in the fight' if you see what I mean.
I hope your self care does the trick, and you feel more comfortable when your visitors arrive.

Thanks @jwil when you look at it like that things are actually ok  :)
Thanks @Watty1 I have eaten so much chocolate lately!!
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I think that is it: new people in my space...but yes, I will think of the boost to my savings next weekend  :)
Thanks @joeyjimbles yes, I am definitely better 'in the fight' I hate limbo land!

The good thing about new people coming is it forces me to review and clean the house. I realised I need an extra heavy duvet. It can wait until one is on sale...The rooms are done and look lovely. I had turned one into a dumping space but it is a bedroom again now. I was going to buy some heated throws for the rooms but it would have cost £100 for the two. I bought hot water bottles instead for £23. They have cosy covers that are washable.

I still need to clean the kitchen, but they are not due until late.

Guests are away on a trip tomorrow, so I will do a chorizo and butterbean stew with garlic bread as the stew can reheat whilst the bread goes in the oven.

My dressing gown/housecoat arrived. It isn't the one I initially wanted but this one will be better for the rest of the year when it isn't so cold. I am wearing it now with a woollen shrug. It is nice and long. I bought it a size bigger so it has extra wrap-around. It was half the price of the one I wanted initially, but still expensive I think...

    Feeling a bit less edgy

Hope you are having a good weekend

I'm glad you're feeling better, and that you have your new housecoat.
