Such a shame your friendship ended like this. Her loss not yours. Friends like that you don’t need.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

My DD who is a drama student writes and performs her own poetry on SM. She did one about a long good friendship ending (a case of breaking girl code with DDs first serious long term boyfriend). A couple of lines from it struck me as I read your latest post.
'How can the end be so different from the start'
And
'We both know its gone too far to ever make amends. You chose what you chose in the end'
Your friend has chosen material possessions over your friendship. Thats on her and is no reflection on you.8 -

Als others have said, her loss. But how can she deny that you have possessions in her attic? Especially after you have been so gracious in returning the gift she’d given you….2

Delurking to say your ex friend clearly knows she is in the wrong as she brought a renta mate for back up.Be proud as that means folk know you are not one to be trifled with. And that she’s a coward.Wouldn’t it be good to be a fly on the wall the day she realises she gave up a friend for a possession. 🤦🏼♀️Lancashire

Sorry about the ex-friend. That's awful about your possessions as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Thanks @Sun_Addict @SuzeQStan @beanielou @liselle she doesn't think there is anything in the loft. If I look and find things it will prove her wrong and embarrass her so she isn't letting that happen. It is upsetting that she refuses to let me look. However, it makes it easier in a way as I don't need to see her again. And it is just stuff. Stuff that I've lived happily without for a year. I'm letting her and the remaining stuff go

Thanks @Spendless for sharing those lines. Very apt
Thanks @jwil and @Skint_yet_Again there were things I wanted but nothing I can't live without
