Yay to tracking down your document. Sometimes stopping searching in panic mode and just leaving it for a bit really does help when thinking it all through.4

@PennysIntoPounds free harrumphs?! They've shot up round here, that's so generous. Love Humdinger xx2

I'm been honing them what with our build project so got a few old ones going spare to friends who need them @Humdinger1 😁
Hope you are having a lovely restful Sunday DIA, glad the document is found and a source of stress has gone 😊3 -
Glad the document has been found!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Thanks @teapot2 I must remember to stop panic searching if it happens again
Thanks @jwil so am I!
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds @Humdinger1
I love the free harrumphs very MSE of you to recycle them PiP
I had a do nothing day yesterday so nothing to report there.
Today I did some shopping. I spent £75 then £8.75 on water and flowers...I will try to spend very little this month on food. I made okay soup. I ate a whole bag of crisps (the ones that say for sharing)
I decluttered a large cool bag to the CS
I bought some curtains. They are lined and cotton from a company called Morris and Co. I found them on the JL website selling for £122. I will be getting a curtain pole put up in the hallway so they will go up there. They don't appear to have been used and were £5. I nabbed them 5 minutes after she put them out...
I cleared some rubbish
I found a first edition hardback of a book I wanted for 50p
It is dark so quickly. The house is still a mess after dragging everything out over the weekend. I bought some tulips today (too early for them but I couldn't resist) my plan today is to have the dining room table cleared except a vase of flower before the end of the day.
The really MSE thing is my CC is clear once again so I have a little more wiggle room in the kitty this month as not repaying debt which is a relief!
I hope you had a good start to your week

Given that you get approximately five crisps in a non sharing bag, deceitfully named sharing bags are the only way to go
Amazing finds on the curtains and book. I actually need to move to your area, our charity shops basically sell high street dresses for more than they cost original, and they're not vintage!
Hooray and huge well done for clearing the CC 🥳5 -
Sharing bags? That's a whole tube of Pr*ngles, surely? None of it counts if eaten standing up, as we know. Love Humdinger xx3

Dia I take my hat off to you with your cs finds. I agree with Pip, our local cs either skim off the good stuff or overprice goods they've had donated. I know they have to make a living but they get a lot of tax breaks and support most businesses don't enjoy. Seems a lot less chance of getting a bargain these days

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds they were great buys. Our CSs are excellent but I do go into them most days either donating, scanning, or buying.
Ha ha @Humdinger1 I seem to be craving salty carbs...
Yes, @Tresinia511 there are also pricey CSs here but I tend to avoid those!
Today I donated a huge framed map that I like but do not love. A cup purchased for £1 but didn't feel nice drinking from it, and a book
Today felt very busy. I have been clearing and reorganising. I didn't get out of the house until midday and not long back.
I found a bookshelf, a bit shabby but I think it is oak. I have the measurements so will see if it will fit the space. It will be £100 including delivery if I buy it.
I have been buying things for a relative living abroad. Shopping is tiring! I stood up to a relative who is asking for me to buy other various things and simply said I had no available funds. Sorry. It felt quite good to say that!
I haven't adjusted to the short days. It feels like the day is almost over. In less than an hour it will be dark...
I haven't even cleared the dining room table I wanted done by yesterday!
It was a dry day today...had I known I would have done a wash...will do one tomorrow. Will prep the WM tonight
The soup that wasn't that great yesterday was better today...
Off to measure the space for the bookshelf...
Hope you had a good enough day

Huge applause for saying no to the relative on spending money 👏 🥂
I don't adjust to the short days, I just wait for the clocks to go forward again! Anyway are you even British if you don't spend half your year going 'ooh isn't it getting darker/lighter earlier' 😁5
