  • Just delurking to say my retired cousin does invigilating and also works at the polling station when it’s that time of year so that maybe worth looking into - it’s not a lot but it’s something!

  • Thanks @Sunshine_girl2 @jwil
Thanks @Tresinia511 @Newstartforme I do think multiple streams is the way forward. I have enough to get by but I want to do more than get by. Building savings is especially important to me
Thanks  for delurking @BalanceBy50 I will definitely look into the election polls
Thanks @beanielou and @PennysIntoPounds schools are trickier but definitely looking into polling stations

So, since I was last on here I have pressed forward on one of the income streams. I met someone who helped with my proposal. This evening I submitted my proposal! I resolve not to get downhearted if it doesn't deliver. The plan is, start on the next income stream instead.

Long walk today...I wanted to cycle but I had a flat tyre. The new pump I bought a while ago did not work.

I went to the GP office to pick up copy of my recent blood test. I compared it to one 8 months ago. I was clearly on the edge of being anaemic then but their tests only alert when you go over or under their range. You have to spot things yourself when you are nearing the edge and take action! Never mind, not a serious condition but it could have been...

Made some brilliant soup with veggies and some frozen wild garlic  :)

I changed the BB connector sent to me to use months ago. I was pretty sure it would cause some issue or another, but actually it was fine

    Let the weekend commence!
I am fascinated by the multiple income streams dia. Who did you submit your proposal to??

Glad you spotted the potential health condition before it became a problem. Soup sounds yum 😋

  • Another thought about an extra income stream what about clerking for a local school governing board? Both my local authority & a local trust have been advertising lately. I applied to the local academy trust. Was given a laptop, dictaphone & a school less than 2 miles away. I have 6 meetings a year to minute for & I get £100 a meeting. Not a lot but every little helps & I can commit to 6 evenings a year 😂 x

I am so filing this one away for the future.   i would love to do something like this when no longer in full time work.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
