  • i've had nearly 3 car free weeks, my grocery bill has reduced significantly.  it's too easy to buy more than what's needed when you don't have to carry it.  could you try a one a month SM delivery?

Yes, @Sun_Addict the second purse, or stock up pot is a good idea  ;)

@WelshmansDaughter The delivery charge is annoying but an osteopath when you throw your back out costs more :D

Thanks @in_need_of_direction I want to use two SMs as they each have things I like. Also, my back and joint condition justifies a fortnightly delivery charge, despite the annoyance. I will see how it works out. Can always change if I find I'm spending more. I am always in and out of shops so I expect to reduce my shopping spends this way, but we shall see...

I do something similar, I have 2 sm deliveries a month for the heavy stuff. I tend to restock more food on one (pantry staples etc) and more toiletries/cleaning products on the other. I always prefer to buy my fruit and veg fresh though, where I can see it and choose for myself. So that and little top ups I get myself when I'm passing a decent shop.

I'm thinking something similar, pain carrying three heavy bags the last time. But then delivery is a fiver so annoying
I have a delivery pass for Sainsbug’s. which is £7.50 a month for as many deliveries as you like as long as you spend £40.

Thanks @rachmac3 @Sun_Addict @beanielou for sharing your shopping structures and delivery costs. Im ok paying for delivery as when I take away the cost of my bus home with the shopping, the true cost is 6.50 a month for 2 deliveries. I won't have to pack, or load, or struggle from the bus stop.

I went to my refill shop today. I use their paper bags for refill and put their bag in a see-through Swedish store bag, then in the fridge. My organisation task today will be labelling the bags.

This is clearly displacement activity as I need to take G bits and pieces to sell and I hate doing that sort of thing, but selling is one of my income streams so it needs to be done.

Curry made in SC and made a pot of red quinoa to go with it

Put heating on today but only for 30 minutes. In fact it is a sunny day. I need new batteries for the heating controls. I had to search the house to find it!

I'm getting rid of my old garden tools, the big ones. They are rusting away in the garden. In terms of safety it isn't a good idea to keep them in sight in the garden as they can be used to break in.   I don't want a big garden again. If by chance I end up with one I am keeping a spade, a rake, a fork but only the actual bits, not the handles. The CS were pleased with a garden tool I gave them today.

I started doing sun salutations. I managed one set using yoga blocks for extra support. Will do daily...

I have £20 that has to last until the end of next week. I have done quite well as I haven't used the CC at all this month (so far) and I have had a few NSDs. If I can sell the G I will have enough to last until new funds arrive

Sorry about the foot, as you know I very much sympathise with random reduced mobility! Rest up and hopefully you'll be grand for a walk with your friend. If she's a good enough friend to stay for the weekend I'm sure she'll be fine going for a walk by herself or hunkering down with you, with no stressy vibes

Brilliant news on not one but two income streams progressing 🥂
