I do the elections as a count officer. It does mean overnight work though.3

Thanks @Sun_Addict I do feel more positive
Thanks @WelshmansDaughter I will definitely be looking at polling stations. The overnight won't bother me. The election results probably will...
Thanks @Tresinia511 and @Humdinger1 for the positive posts
Thanks @Skint_yet_Again the proposal; went to a local arts organisation close to where I live
Thanks @BalanceBy50 I don't think schools will be a good first for me but @Watty1 has picked up on it. That's the beauty of DF diaries!
Thanks @Afdaff your approach is one I am trying for myself. Like you I have steady reliable income and extra is down to me to create
A few days away visiting family. There was a family birthday so that was nice, if tiring. I did not spend very much, so quite pleased with myself there
It is cold here but not that cold. I have quite a bit of credit on my energy and it is nice not to have to worry about it (not that I did really) this year.
Feeling very flat and lazy today. Yesterday was rail replacement buses at various stretches of the journey and I was tired before I went so accepting the lazy day. Will go out tomorrow. I need Sket....s for walking, so will need to buy a pair.
We have to refer ourselves for a consultant now after the GP sends a code. You keep trying until the list opens (weeks) and then there is a very long wait. It isn't great, and clearly just a delaying tactic as far as I see it. Anyway, even that was blocked so I had to call, wait for ages and still not on the list as there is a fault with the system it seems...
So, not heard back from the income proposal yet.
I started the ball rolling on two income streams today by:- contacting a possible provider of income (could not get her by phone or email so emailed a colleague of hers who has already confirmed she has forwarded it on, so that's good)
- leaving a message for another international organisation who may pay better than the one I am signed up with. There are 4 such organisations here so I will contact each one and see what they offer and how they differ
Hope your day was good enough

Glad you had a nice time with family and there wasn't notable drama or requests for money!
Great plan to contact all the agencies to see who's paying best rates (and to get a feel of who's responsive and professional)
Hope the consultant issue gets sorted soon

Another suggestion for potential income stream is work as an extra. My mom did this for a while3

Thanks @PennysIntoPounds There is always drama in my family. It's genetic

Lights in the pantry sounds nice @rachmac3
Nice idea @WelshmansDaughter except I don't even enjoy my photo taken let alone being on film!
So, back from shops with too heavy bags. Was walking along thinking 'I really don't need to be shopping this way' the solution is delivery more often, so this afternoon I will be organising the following
DELIVERY- week one: online shop (SM1)
- week two: veggies delivery
- week three: online shop (SM2)
- week four: veggies delivery
LOCAL Shopping WALKING- Mr L
- Refill shop
Off to allocate funds to each of these categories
Hope everyone is having a good day

That sounds like a good plan for the shopping. I’ve seen something about a second purse system somewhere on these boards. I’m currently building a stock up pot for this purpose.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I'm thinking something similar, pain carrying three heavy bags the last time. But then delivery is a fiver so annoying2
