Dia, no idea what to do with quinces. We have an allotment so keen to offload to others whatever bumper crop of the week we have,  it all comes together in the late summer/autumn! I have to outright refuse stuff offered back to us because of our allotment otherwise we would end up with the same problem as you with the quinces ha ha

Hope you and your upholstery needs have a fabulous new week (picturing William Morris bras now, why is this not a thing?!)
And hope that the flask coffee and sea lift the low mood. Is there anything nice you can plan for yourself for tomorrow evening to look forward to, to start the week off treating yerself nice?
Lighting a candle, a glass of wine, making time for watching something on iplayer or reading a book?
Thanks @PennysIntoPounds I have started using candles and I want to start reading. I'm keeping wine levels low at the minute for various reasons. I have planned a weekend away to see family so something nice to look forward to...

Quinces - either make jelly or just put them in a bowl and enjoy the smell!

Quinces - although they take longer to cook than apples, if you cut them up very small & mix with apples, they make a lovely addition to a crumble.

The smell is indeed divine! Thanks for the suggestions
You could always do a yoga class online to make up for the missed class.

I’ve never had a quince. It makes me think of the poem The Owl and the Pussycat 😆
I am going to do an online yoga class today. I need to see this as an option more. Thank you

Quince paste. Just watched a video where she made one. Apparently it is eaten traditionally with something but can't remember. Cheese maybe?
It is manchego cheese and they are delicious together  :)

Thanks @Tresinia511 I have a plan for the quinces! I will be freezing them and they will be used for Lamb with pomegranates and roasted quince at a later stage  :)

I hope your mood improves, and coffee by the sea sounds lovely.

You sound so positive DIA , really do hope it all works out for you . I sometimes feel employers have someone in mind when they advertise but must go through the whole interview process

Ooh I don't think I've ever been involved in anyone's lightbulb moment before, I feel honoured!

Are there any schools nearby that you could enquire about doing some invigilating shifts for?

Sorry that you didn't get the job, but that's an amazingly positive turnaround!  Best of luck with those income streams. :)
