Outfox The Market -12 Month fix - Electricity only, likely to be cheaper than that Octo Tariff for electricity, also no exit fees.

100Green (formally GEUK) also often have quite a good electric tariff, It's offered exclusively through uSwitch afaik (don't forget your uSwitch cashback via your favourite cashback site) and has no early exit fees.

It's actually part of a dual fuel tariff, but their gas price is horrendous, so just take the electric if interested.

Their SC is usually high as of late, but compensated for by a lower unit rate, so may suit average to above average users.

I think that the immediate conclusion is that there is no sense in making a premature switch from my current tariff.

Beyond that there may be a site that comes up with different results. Question then: who to believe? Bearing in mind that I need a combined solution for both fuels. I have to assume that the CEC has applied all the filters I gave it.

Final point: If the differences, including customer service rating and the like, are marginal, I'd stay with Octopus - "the devil you [think you] know"

I hope such deliberations might be helpful to anyone in a similar situation

Irony is Summer 2021 you switched Gas out to So Energy whilst leaving Electricity on Octopus Go ,no EV

Up to you, but if I were you I would check a comparison site to see that you are still on a competitive tariff, especially if you would incur no exit fees to switch.

You should trust your own due diligence. You should always try to check any offer direct with the supplier where possible. (and always keep evidence of the deal you think you are signing up to … and then check the welcome letter accords with what you signed up for)

Why do you need a combined solution for your energy requirements? Nothing to stop you buying one fuel from one supplier and getting the other from another, (unless the terms of the tariff specifically forbid this) or leaving one where it is .

One stop shop I suppose. I haven't found an alternative (yet) that is mind blowingly better. Have dual fuel tariffs had their day?

Feb 2026 V1 out today yesterday*, which is better than that January one. Still much higher than November 2025 V2 though, so I won't be switching to it.

*Edited to add, I've just seen that @lorian posted in another thread about this. The tariff was released yesterday.

    Feb 2026 V2 available.

Fractionally better than V1 (East Midlands).
