Just checked my Octopus fix (Loyal Octopus 14M Fixed March 2025 v4) on the MSE comparison site - staggered to find that Outfox are now £220 per annum cheaper (Fix'd Dual May25 12M v5.0) on a £3400 total with a £50 per fuel exit fee.

Octopus seem to have ceased to be competitive.
Several posts on forum mentioning that OFTM have been letting customers change to another fix with no exit fee.

When Octopus have added exit fees includes change of tariff.
The only thing still drawing me to Octopus now is the 15p export rate. I’ll calculate whether that’s worth more than the £220 potentially saved by moving, but I’m guessing not. If OFTM dropped its exit penalty formally, I’d almost certainly go.
I certainly wont switch, I get 23/30p for export, now where is the sun when you need it🌞

Do your readings confirm that if you filter out tariffs with exit fees, the Octopus 12-M still heads the list?

I suspect that there isn't a clever way of taking account of the contribution of "export" (in my case 15p / kWh + FIT) in a  rates comparison since there is no link between imported and exported units?

It’s worth noting that whilst slightly more expensive octopus use renewables and nuclear so much lower carbon vs outfox.

If I do an Octopus Compare it "shows" me a Loyalty 12-M Fixed, but when I look this up in All Our Tariffs / Current it ain't there.

    What's Octopus Compare?

There's not been a loyalty tariff available since April v2 (East Midlands) got pulled. Boo.

If you google OC that will give you a better response than hearing a description fom me.

I've been on 14-M Loyalty for some months now and the "implication" was that the 12-M would follow suit. Not so it seems.

Ah, an app. The name is familiar, now I've found that out.

Did this used to only be available on Apple at one point, as otherwise I would probably have used it already? Just getting it up and running for a nosey.

I thought you were somewhere within Octopus' own website, that I hadn't spotted yet @Telegraph_Sam

Pass on that. There are no doubt many hidden somewheres in the website that one only becomes aware of after being tipped off by the forum. I'd be keen to know your experience with O Compare.

I have All our Tariffs (which I take to be the Bible) open in front of me. Filters Current, Fixed and Domestic applied. The only 12-M shown is

    Octopus 12M Fixed May 2025 v2

with two Identical (?) derivatives "...+ Intelligent Drive Pack"

There doesn't appear to be anything to expand. I get the impression that Loyalty ceased at the end of April 2025 (at least for my post code [Removed by Forum Team])
