Just reading through the last few posts I almost get the feeling that exit fees on CURRENT tariffs are being introduced and withdrawn as often as Trump's tariffs. Yet my understanding is that if my 14-M fixed tariff says no exit fee then nothing is going to change that. As opposed to new (versions of) 12-M or 14-M  tariffs being launched with exit fees. I'd trade off a few p/kWh against exit fees if I was switching contracts.

The fees were not withdrawn, the entire tariff was removed after they reached their target number of customers on the tariff.
We are now back to the V2 tariff that did not have exit fees.
Once you pick a fixed tariff the terms do not change, just be careful to read the details if you change tariffs.

It's obviously a case of us being precise in our use of terminology when kicking these things around in the forum. I include myself in this of course.

April V3 was only a limited offer, once full it was withdrawn and we are back to April V2 now.

There was a version 4 with a £50 exit fee for a while on Tuesday, I was helping a neighbour decide to stick or twist with their current tariff. They stuck because of the exit fees.

Has anyone tried and failed to change their DD amount after moving to the 14 month fix?
One downside of changing tariff I have found is that my DD amount gets changed at the same time.
In the past I have been able to change it back to the amount I want it to be immediately via the website.
But since changing to the 14M fix, I am no longer able to change it.

I couldn't change mine but thought it was because I was in the window just before payment.

I have a variation on that: I have always used the variable D/D method of payment in order to avoid discrepancies in matching payments to invoices. But looking back to when I switched to the 14-month fixed rate tariff, it has seemed that Octopus has failed in this "simple"  task. And odds and ends of payments are left hanging around.  Which take time to irradicate.
