Good to hear your first day back went well abundant.Today I am grateful for not letting having to be in the house stop me from doing things for me, for more 3 ingredient brownies, for visiting felines (them to me, not me to them!), for dh getting home earlier than expected, for a chat with a friend, for Pip (and therefore me) sleeping through the night.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Howdy y'all, think that's a bit of tumbleweed blowing through the street there! You must all be super busy today 😊
NSD#7
Did my exercises & Norwegian before breakfast. Somehow managed to squeeze in reading 2 chapters of my book too.
Blasted my music on the way to work & sang along, do arrived in a good mood. A couple of very last minute changes to my timetable. Also had a meeting with the child psychologist, pupil's parent, teacher, IT & useless member of staff, analysing a video of me & pupil, which I had to interpret & feed back on. Didn't know I was to be doing that! Lots of praise from child psychologist, despite my terrible singing in one video!! Lots of calming down of kids the rest of the day, maybe the full moon..?
Late leaving work, so good job my massage was at 4.30 instead of the usual 4pm! Had time to read another chapter of my book & eat s quick snack in s layby en route.
Sewing machine still playing up, so got the spare one out of the shed. Job finished within half an hour 😊
Played a few rounds of Uno with DS1&3, lots of laughter.
Going for a bath now & finish my book.
Grateful for acknowledgement that I'm doing my job well, music, laughter with my boys, spare sewing machines & a massageUse it up, wear it out

I cut up the box (es) the toilet rolls came in and made a walkway all across the kitchen to the shower room with another piece in front of the sink and WM. I moved a few packs of toilet rolls into the bathroom cupboard (no middle shelf in there) and then made further trips with boxes of toothpaste and antiseptic cream and a bottle of disinfectant and a pack of wipes. Moved 2 bags for life full of toilet rolls into the old upper cupboards which have been retained (that was hard and left me breathless).
After a rest I took a bar of soap, a shampoo bar and a bath towel into the shower room, brushed my teeth, had a shower and washed my hair. Some smaller jobs done and started to move jarred food from the fridge into one of the newly empty bags for life.
Grateful for easy food, recreational items (book, podcasts and puzzle book), my new shower room.11 -
@Thrifty_Taylor - That could be a real tumbleweed here. We had rain and hail overnight and early morning. Now it is sunny and the wind is blowing everything around. Had to go out in the rain this morning to get another shot in my back (it hurt). Will see if it works. Used the medical transportation this time as I wasn't supposed to drive afterward. When I came out it was like a sunny spring day, but by the time the pick-up driver got there, it was raining again. Cleared up nicely. Not supposed to rain for a couple of days. Managed to clean one of the toilets, do the dishes, feed the cats twice, and clean up after the cats twice. Took box of food to the neighbors. But mostly worked on the computer. Still working on a book and still doing genealogy every day. Have two roommates with leg problems so they aren't helping at all. Instead, I made dinner tonight. Still have to get ready for Needlework class tomorrow. Another roommate is taking me (and hopefully remembering to pick me up) as he wants to use the one remaining car. It is really cold for here. Only 11C. And going down.
Grateful the little cat (all 11 pounds of him) decided to stop using me as a jumping pad after 2:00 am so I could get some sleep, for the pick-up driver picking me up 15 minutes early and coming to the door to get me (instead of waiting 5 minutes and disappearing), for making it through the shot, and still being able to move around.
Hope you all can stay warm and dry and not blow away.11 -
Sorry! Was down with a 3 day migraine 😫 so prescription 🕶 on, and only doing things early on in the day before it got too bad.
So top floor cleaned on Tuesday morning then 🛋
Middle floor cleaned on Wednesday morning then 🛋
and the living room yesterday then felt nearly okay so drove to volunteering. Yes, I went for a drive to test my eyes ... mostly cos I drive my old men back afterwards. No visual auras or halos and kaleidoscope eyes anymore!
Bending forward to load the washing machine was impossible, so squats was the way to go!
Hopeful I will be able to read by tonight 📚 .
Grateful to Mr Paracetamol, for buying prescription sunglasses last year, for racking up lots of NSDs as I was not safe to leave the house and could not do screens for more than 2 or 3 minutes.

What’s your average step count per day @Thrifty_Taylor? You are so good at getting your exercise in. Definitely motivates me to try to get something done every day.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #829

Yesterday was nsd#9 for me. Today I am meeting a friend for lunch which is much needed. I haven’t seen her in ages and I need a good catch up. I will try to fit a walk around the block later to keep my steps up.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #828

Sending healing hugs @weenancyinAmerica & @f0xh0les, glad your migraines improving.
@dizzyblnd it varies, some days it's only @5000, today I walked a little further after work & it was over 11,000! It depends too, how much I run around playing football with my pupil at breaktime, or if I'm stuck in goals 🤣 I am enjoying my little walks after work. There are a few routes nearby, walking between fields, with views of some lochs & a nearby island with 2 huge hills (I've been up one 3 times now). Glad I'm inspiring you to get out & about too 😊
Had a really carp morning at work, & my eyes/head were aching, so caved in & had a paracetamol at lunchtime. Hence why I went a bit further on my walk tonight.
Made myself & DS1 a pint of Snowball each, complete with a maraschino cherry, had some birthday chocolate beside me & my favourite series on TV, & knitted a gonk hat. My Friday night wind down routine 😂
Think I'm on NSD#8.
Grateful for the bell at 3.30, a nice walk, my Friday night routine, the weekend!Use it up, wear it out

@Thrifty_Taylor - I really do envy you with your places to walk that have views. I have to force myself to go out and walk here. Or bribe myself with a good thing to eat at the end of the walk - which sometimes defeats the purpose. Walking in a crowded neighborhood with no one out to talk to is just not conducive to mental health.9

On Friday I managed to wear my ankle strap with my little wellies over the top and I took11books back to the library. I did a little fridge survey and ordered more food (i was out of bread and bought sandwich fillings, will add salady bits I have in). This is so I can concentrate on doing other tasks. I ordered a copy of my birth certificate on line and it arrived today so DS3 can apply for a passport and use it to get this months earnings from the streaming service.
Gathered rubbish and recycling (not gone out yet but I did bring the black bin back from the collection point). Ate and then had another nap (time to rest my ankle again). Cleared some space this morning. Mr and Mrs Builder arrived around noon. They cleared everything from under the stairs and put the fridge-freezer and freezer under there temporarily (defrosting will be done tomorrow). More went out to the bins and skip and Mr Builder sawed up an old table and they've taken it away to feed their wood burner. Lots of measuring and calculating how many panels they need to order. The shelves I made from DS1's Japanese bed will be reused above the kitchen cabinets. Whilst Mr Builder was sawing, Mrs Builder did my kitchen - washing up, wiping surfaces, sweeping bits of floor that were inaccessible before. Just little bits that make it so much easier to get around. I had filled several water bottles this morning.
Watched a few pods but gave up after the laptop fell for the fifth time and had another nap. Have a rough plan for tomorrow, Mr Builder is back on Monday - he will finish paneling the ceiling (little bit leading to under the stairs),put in one of my extra twin sockets and do whatever else he can (towel rail, toilet roll holder and mirror have been added to the list. He also needs to contact the man about making the bathroom door (it's been left wide enough for a wheelchair so will be a custom build)
Grateful for easy food, Mr and Mrs Builder, sleep.12
