Totally understand that @weenancyinAmerica. Wish I could share my view with you, but can never upload any photos for some reason!
You've struck hold with your builders @grandmanerd. They're so good at doing the little extras to help you.
I've had a good day. Went to town after breakfast, had to go to 2 DIY shops to find replacement leads for DS3's special mechanical pencil. Very helpful young men in both places & found what was needed.
Dropped 5 lots of sewing off & collected 1, so I'll be able to continue working through the pile I've got here 😊
Another big shop, as had 10% off at L1DL, so with 2 other offers, saved £23. This adds up each month, so by the end of the year, it is the equivalent of a free big shop!
Once all shopping put away, I spent a couple of hours tidying up a border & listening to C2C.
Knitted 2 arms & feet for my gonk. All ready to see up now.
Grateful for helpful staff, money off shopping, time in the garden, nice chat with DS1Use it up, wear it out

Good afternoon ⛅
Sorry for being MIA. Work was great Thursday - but tired me out. I had an appointment with the colorectal nurses, and whilst we had a laugh... found out I now have a parastomal hernia to live with until I get my reversal done. I have support belts now - and I expect it was from almost 2-weeks of continual hiccups, vomiting and retching post op due to an ileus. I felt quite low Thursday evening contemplating it all, and reading up around it. Friday was a wash-out and stayed in. Yesterday spent with family most of the day which again, was lovely - but wiped me out today a bit. I think I had 2 spend days and clocked up another NSD yesterday 🤔 I will kick start things next week - and try and regain my positive focus.
The weather (as many of you have said) has been so changeable - not at all like the UK 😅 Enjoyed the little bits of sunshine when they appeared... looking forward to more sunny weather to come.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Plenty of food supplies in
2) My PC and games
3) Staying home where its warm
Today = NSD number 4
See you all tomorrow 🙂⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Had a fab outdoors event yesterday. The light-up-leicester festival, complete with hedgehogs, owls, foxes, and horses. DH took us out for a meal afterwards. It was dark, and the lights were great, then we had dancing dayofthedead skeletons!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Wotcha turtles! I trust you all survived the Ides of March. Apologies for not posting much - I've been housebound for over a week, looking after Pip after his concussion, and dh had to be out a lot. Pip's doing much better and will hopefully get to school tomorrow!Has anyone else had snowdrops and hyacinths blooming simultaneously this year? Twas weird 🤣Today I am grateful for chatting with neighbours, for finishing off some craft WIPs, for getting a bit more work on the calendar, for Pip doing some catch up work, for discovering that the Daim 'cake' in sainz is gluten free.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

Sending hugs @abundant1972. Hope you get the treatment you need very soon. In the meantime, rest & recharge your batteries on the chaise longue.
Wow @f0xh0les, love your photos! Bet the atmosphere was amazing.
Welcome back @ditty1234.
Poor pip, glad he's on the mend @apple_muncher.
A dry day here today, & a bit warmer (though not on top of a hill!). Loaded the car up & went to the dump, then me & DH did some exploring. We started off at the school where I work, then walked out to a pier g around the headland. Some parts of the cliff path were very narrow. It was further than we intended, but got 2/3 round, then found a road, which took us somewhere that I recognised. Had a very friendly sheep running towards us as we passed its field, it let me scratch it's nose for ages, so must've been a caddy lamb (bottle fed).
Put our slide on FB page for free (needed new supports making) & was snapped up in 10mins, so something else decluttered.
Spent the afternoon watching things off the box & hand sewing a new lining into a coat. Saw my lambs of the year, when picking DS3 up from the bus stop.
Grateful for exploring new places, friendly & newborn sheep, declutteringUse it up, wear it out

Washing went out on the line, I put away the clean pots and washed my mask. DS3 made a face when I mentioned the freezer (again) so I've dealt with the problem by cooking and eating their food. Chilli using a bag of frozen onions, a bag of mince and a tub of fresh mushrooms, plus chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, lots of tomato puree, 2 tins of beans and another bag of minced beef with onion. Was going to have cauliflower cheese but ate the cauliflower and pasta without the cheese sauce. The second half I put in a dish to reheat in the oven later.
After the cauli I ate a portion of the chilli (yum) and added all the remaining cauli and pasta into the chilli (cheap? mince so it was a bit thin and the pasta and cauli bulked up the residue. More recently I've put the 2 bags of beef chunks I'd defrosted in a pan. Found another bag of frozen onions, chopped fresh carrots, celery and one leek (veg curry planned for another day), seasoning, the last 4 jumbo mushrooms and rest of the tomato puree.
I've moved what I can of their food into the space in my freezer and told them it has been turned off and to come and rescue what they can (it will last in my fridge for several days). The ice cubes and ice pops have been emptied into the sink and thrown the tiny tree ice creams into the yard (wasn't having that gunk in my sink).
Grateful for yummy food, problem solving and time to rest12 -
Update for Sunday that I forgot to post…
Still on NSD 3! Bought a soup at the chilly football match (also it was grocery delivery day) on Saturday, and bought school shoes online today because (1) I found a 15% discount code (2) the retailer was offering free delivery if spending over a certain amount (which I was due to buying things for OH’s upcoming birthday on behalf of Mum)…
Grateful today for a random boost of mega energy from somewhere, for getting upstairs and downstairs tidied and cleaned, for starting a clear out of toys with DS (whose birthday is also soon), for finding a discount code saving myself and Mum some money, for getting some bedding washed and out on the line, for fussy eater DS eating lots of the dinner I made, and for ending the day feeling like a bit of a housework champion 🤣NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸11 -
