My gas and electricity switched over at midnight. I'm on smart meters and it looks like the electricity transferred over straight away but the gas is still pending. I used the Fuse instant messaging thing and CS said it can sometimes take a couple of weeks to transfer so it's nothing to worry about

I submitted manual readings for both anyway just to make sure.

I quickly checked my old Octopus account and it looks like they've already charged me for the gas and electricity I've used between my last bill and midnight (even though Fuse haven't confirmed the switch over yet!).

No issues with the switch over so far.

Switched to Fuse V3 last night online they contacted me this morning to say I can only switch to their new v4 tariff which is more expensive! Changing rates during a switch is sharp practice. Avoid.
I hope that they honour the special tariff offered thru USwitch on 18th August !- my switch is underway due to complete tomorrow (if the 4 working day switch process works)
I switched to 13mth v3 on Monday Anna it is due to complete on 22nd. Both the Fuse app and my account with Uswitch show the V3 tariff if you want to check. There is a minute decrease in the electricity tariff and a larger increase in the gas tariff on v4 in the East Midlands region but it doesn’t make a significant difference overall.
My switch via Uswitch has stalled. I'm on chat to Fuse now as they wanted me to choose a new tariff that will cost me ~ £40pa of my savings. Uswitch shows v3 but the Fuse app shows address ,DD set up but no tariff !
I've been presented with no choice ! by Fuse if I want to switch - I have to choose the slightly more expensive v4 to complete the switch process then the chat agent says he will arrange a manual change to v3 . I'll believe it when I see it !  Still worth doing as it saves £125 pa even on v4
Sounds ok    I hope you got the name of the chat agent
I did - but past experience with another Energy supplier and online chat - no such employee with our Customer Services team !!

The price comparison tool here says that Fuse only have variable direct debit payment options.   However I couldn't see anything on their website mentioning this, can anyone confirm they offer this.. It's my prefered payment option.

Pleasantly surprised today to find that Alastair (Customer Services agent) has carried through with chat "promise" and has got me switched back onto v3 tariff. He did mention something about issues with Uswitch process.

Switch completed today took a mere 4 days. Supplied meter readings (I took photos of smart ihd). However this wasn't needed as electricity smart linked effortlessly at 1am and gas smart at 4am. Fuse only use variable direct debit. You are billed on 2nd working day of month it's collected 4 days later. I'm saving £86 on standing charges from my expired octopus fix (gas is  19.6p per day was 29.62p with octopus. Electricity is 47.64p per day was 61.56p with octopus)and a tiny amount on unit charges. The Fuse deal I secured is £223 per year cheaper than Octopus cheapest new fix. Most major suppliers now cheaper than octopus so shop around. Early days but very happy with fuse so far

My switch also completed in 4 days though Fuse haven’t connected my Gas meter yet.

Electricity connected and already accurately showing use and cost in the app.

My Gas meter was dumb with my previous supplier ( Octopus ) who said they couldn’t connect it because my Electricity was with Tomato and I would need to switch my Electricity supply to them first.

@tlcgrantham that excuse from octopus sounds like laziness to me. The hub is a separate entity to the meter. Octopus ran me ragged with my gas meter and I eventually demanded they install a smart meter they could read for me

@Foxy16 I too miss zog. 10p per day standing charges I recall. I used to be zog for gas and the totally different (almost fun) Powershop for Leccy. Before going down the awful symbio route, ditching them for green then the bubble burst. Shell then octopus completed my journey to fuse

I had been asking for a gas smart meter since April when my previous smart gas meter sprung a leak and had to be removed. As Octopus couldn’t sort the comms out and Fuse offered a really good deal on gas I decided to switch.
Tomato were very good but they can’t do gas and may well go under shortly so despite being more expensive for Electricity I switched.
Will be interesting to see how good Fuse are and if they can do what Octopus couldn’t and connect the gas meter.
