Then what level should those on TOU tariffs be charged to ? I suspect that 3 decimal places will become the norm.I also found that EonNext show 1 decimal place on the bill but the calculations work out correctly using 2.1

Been with outfox a couple of times( still with them), never had a problem with them.2

Just started the formal complaints process with Fuse over their awful gas billing including using 3 decimal places on the CV. They also changed my September bill by 8p by changing the CV fro 39.5 to 39.505.0

I agree about the decimal places molerat, in over 50yrs of bill paying, this is the only supplier I have used that has done this. Makes bills so complicated. Plus despite submitting meter reading pictures, they always list closing reading as estimated! Gas reading was 11510.884 they have put 11509.917?0

A 3 decimal place CV is not allowed under their licence conditions, that is why no other supplier does it ! https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/sites/default/files/docs/2014/08/supplier_guidance_on_cv_calculation.pdf

Since I sent them a copy of that document they have gone a bit quiet, said they will get back to me and credited my account with £10. Obviously they want to push that letter up the chain

I would follow your example and raise a complaint - but my record with smaller suppliers is very poor - don't want to be the straw that breaks the camel's back and leads to their collapse !!molerat said:Since I sent them a copy of that document they have gone a bit quiet, said they will get back to me and credited my account with £10. Using 3 places is always charging more for the gas. I would rather they sort it out sooner before they get sanctioned by the regulator which then becomes the slippery slope. I didn't complain about my previous supplier using a fixed CV, also not allowed, as the real average would never be below 38. It seems they have realised their error now as my daughter's latest bill used 39.3.2

I spent over an hour looking at their bills trying to figure them out, doing my head in. My electric meter has only one number after the decimal place, but they have used 3, which they then round up or down on my next bill. Hopefully they will sort this out now you have pointed this out molerat.

Nothing to do with decimal places on meter readings but purely about calorific values for gas. If you are on a smart meter there will be 3 decimal places on the reading even if you cannot see them on the screen.Foxy16 said:I spent over an hour looking at their bills trying to figure them out, doing my head in.
