Instructions say it wont show the name, phones getting on a bit and one handset is knackered, might be time for a new one.

If your phones have a little bar that shows the number you are dialing then it will have caller display and show the number that is dialing you ;)

That's not strictly true. Maybe for newer phones but not the older ones. I had a Panasonic DECT and I believe one of the first or so made when DECT phones came out (it wasn't even GAP compatible) and I could see the number as I dialled it but it never had caller display though as I had to use a Caller ID box made by Betacom which I bought from Argos.

I'm looking on eBay for some caller id units.

I registered last night. Just tried it and it works.

I've a BT Diverse 1010 DECT phone, but unfortunately it doesn't display CLI.

i haven't looked through every post to see if this info has been posted elsewhere, so i'll post it:

we have talk talk so we asked bt for clarification on their "some calls" on the bt network clause. They said you only need to make one 5p call per through bt per quarter to qualify.

This is correct, just the one call per quarter.

We are with TalkTalk, though the odd call we do place via BT, even if we didn't place any calls back with BT, to get caller display free I would be happy to make one call at the evening or weekend for 5.5p instead of paying £5.25.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
