I know it's hard to believe that BT would actually give something for free, but this really is free. July 1st onwards.26/09/2017 - Started comping again. Wins so far: 1!

Typical BT, 3 months late

So I was right when I started this thread - shame on you cynical folk

I have now made my caller id free - whoopee another £21 a year to squander on luxuries

About time that BT gave it away free. Mobile networks have included caller display free for ages.0 -
Just mobile networks. Landline providers never have until now so BT are first for landline providers anyhow. I wonder if Telewest/NTL and WLR (Wholesale Landline Rental) providers like OneTel will do the same?Nicholas wrote:About time that BT gave it away free. You must be joking (as far as Telewest is concerned). I subscribe to Telewest broadband and had a new price tariff included which covers all their services. Caller display is going up from £1.00 to £1.50 (quote: this is still cheaper than BT) ha ha. Line rental is going up to £10.50 in line with BT. Glad I left my Telewest phone line behind.:j :beer:0 -
I also throw away my BT bills. I have checked my bank statement and they don't give my account number. Any other way of finding out? Also as I already have caller display do I have to cancel that?Something Really Interesting0

If its just to subscribe to this new service then why not just dial the automated freephone number as quoted in my post (#43) which is 0800 916 5544. You don't need your account number for this providing you call from the houseline concerned.brodev wrote:I also throw away my BT bills. We were with t'w and got fed up of their expensive tariffs and moved to BT so that we could take advantages of the cheaper line rental providers like OneTel/Tele2, Call18866, etc.Nicholas wrote:You must be joking (as far as Telewest is concerned)...0
