Registered and I can view my bill online but can't see a way to cancel my "package" - ringback, caller display and something else I don't use but pay £8 a quarter for!

I am still holding after 114 mins! It's ringing and they keep telling me how valuable I am!

As Firefly and April2 said, you should be able to use the automated freephone number. I had caller display as a paid option on both my home lines.

Although I am registered online, I couldn't even access my acount online (probably because so many people were trying to update theirs). However, the freephone number was great - you have to listen to their blurb but after that you just enter your phone number - you don't even need your account number and you don't need to speak to anyone. I phoned twice for both of my lines, I phoned again and gave my parents' number so they will get the free Caller Display as well. In all three cases, I had a message telling me that I have been paying for caller display but that as soon as this new order was processed, it will be free. There was a "please wait while your order is processed....." and then job done.

Even with 18866 prefixed to your stored numbers, when that person calls you it will still display their name and number fine.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

I emailed both OneTel and Telewest (didn't bother with NTL) and asked if they had any plans on introducing free caller display same as BT now do.

Both replies were similar and said they had no intention as yet but may do so in the future. I can imagine they wont rush to give free caller display at first unless they get complaints or people threatening to leave them and move to BT, etc. Telewest have not long increased their caller display (and other calling features) so I'm guessing the last thing on their mind is giving caller display away for free.

Most of the time it will. I have had one or two instances when 18866 has caused my number to be withheld, and an instance when the number has come up as 0044 etc.
