This time they have gone way overboard with their changes of dictating postage and holding seller's money to ransom !
This is the last straw for me - If that's how it's going to be on eBay from now on ?, then stuff eBay !
BTW It's not just the inconvenience of now having to wait many days to get paid on eBay... but eBay forcefully smothering private sellers with their "managed delivery" - eBay's Packlink = EVRi - That's the new name for HERMES !
They have called themselves "Hermes" since they first started in Germany in 1972 but in 2022 they then changed their name to "EVRi" after they received massive bad publicity for losing 100's of parcels when one of their HGV lorry drivers decided to dump a whole truck load of parcels at the side of a quiet road and steal what they wanted !
So I would rather throw my parcel under a bus ! then let EVRi deliver it ! - They are shocking and eBay is pro- EVRi because they are DIRT CHEAP !
So as I said before in an earlier post, the main reason why I have now stopped selling on eBay is because I do not like or trust their managed delivery program and resent it being forced on me, just like they forced everyone to have to accept managed payments if they wanted to continue selling on eBay which was just a smart trick to take full control of sellers sales money and INVEST IT ! for a short time before returning it to it's rightful owner.
have you missed this bit ?Can I opt out of Simple Delivery?
Yes, you can opt out of Simple Delivery when you’re creating the listing.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/postage/simple-delivery
But never let facts get in the way of a good rant.
So there will be no more option to opt out of eBay's managed delivery0 -

Just because another person also agrees with what the OP said and who is also UNHAPPY WITH EBAY does not mean they are related or anything to do with the original poster.
I do however see a lot of pro-eBay influence here with what looks like to be eBay investors or employees !1 -

This site is about friendly debate and just because someone does not say what you want them to say does not make them bad.
It is called having a difference in opinion.
I do not like what eBay are now doing so I reserve the right to express my honest opinion, I can't lie and say eBay is good when it is no longer good anymore.1 -

Do you have a link to the eBay simple shipping being compulsory from Feb 4th? I don’t recall that being in the announcement?0 -

That Google AI result seems to come from here https://www.valueaddedresource.net/ebay-simple-delivery-managed-shipping/. The eBay page they link to even says it can be opted out of.
but I can’t find anything official from eBay which is why I asked for a link to an eBay policy.
Or you could screenshot the message eBay sent you.4
