I think one of the reasons I like crochet is because it can be tricky. I read that crochet is a cruel task-mistress and it can be true 😂

@ jennypennysaver - You're very welcome & hello gorgeous little Archie My grandmother was an absolute whiz at crocheting and tried to teach me a few times when I was a young girl, but wool just wasn't my thing - Well that's what we agreed anyway! @ I read that crochet is a cruel task-mistress and it can be true 😂 - That's had me laughing my head off! Oh, so very true   Just love those baskets & I know that takes real skill

@Dizzycap   Oh lol now that’s got me chuckling 🤭 and thank you. I got so into crocheting the baskets that I developed calloused hands 🤣  who is the beautiful little sausage in your avatar? 🐾

@Dizzycap Little Lady Lulu 😍 that little face! 😊 She is gorgeous! One of my previous neighbours had 2 little sausages but moved away, I loved them. They just used to run into my house like it was their own and bark at my OH 😂 it's weird how we give them multiple names; I call Archie little bubba, I have no idea why I do that 🤔

I used a big hook and 4 yarns at a time. It is honestly alchemy - even your most awful yarns (that you have no idea how they found their way into your stash) are transformed 😉  

It's especially lovely if you have some with a bit of sparkle. 

Wait until you get to the point where you're ready to start going up, doing the sides, otherwise the sparkly bits are wasted because they'll just be on the base. Ask me how I know that 😑🙄😬

That's so typical Daxie! babyface goes up to certain neighbours front doors looking and sometimes barks to demand entry! The best one is that she adores one of my neighbours and asks to go and visit, so I let her out the front gate and she potters off along a longish hedge, while I keep my eyes firmly fixed on her and then turns around to let me know she's about to visit while I scream out "Incoming Daxie" and the neighbour replies "Okey doke!" He brings her back a couple of hours or so later after totally spoiling her and I can hear it all taking place from the office window It gives me a couple of hours free time when I can get Henry hoover out; which she hates, and do a thorough clean and get all the hard floors washed & dried ready for HRH's return

Love the thought of Archie being called little bubba As for Lady LuLu alternative names of which she answers to several, her favourite is 'La Minsky' because she knows she's being or been curious in a stubborn naughty way and thinks she's got away with it! Until she gets the look Little Miss Tyke! I wouldn't have her any other way xxxxx

Thank you @ jennypennysaver for the pattern - i have to go back after routine mammogram as lump so need something to keep me occupied - I am a little bit scared and alone with child. This will be a good and useful project.
