2025 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD - The Joy of Decluttering

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. We had a funeral this morning for her and put her in a plant pot with a lovely plant on top for us to remember her by. She was such a character.
Sold the item I couldn't find the other day. Thankfully I found it so my bank has been topped up and one item removed from the house.
The house is starting to feel like I am making progress.September 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

1 skirt Decluttered as too tight. Not keeping “just in case” clothes.Whilst wading through the ironing, I have found several tops and a skirt I genuinely didn’t know I had, so clothes declutter is on the cards as a job to be done.
Friend did not come for garden stuff so that’s going in next lot of recycling , all outside ready.Tomorrow I will be tackling the laundry, couldn’t do it today as DH can’t get past the loaded washing lines in his scooter. Plan to continue decluttering the pile of ironing, am getting very close to the bottom of it now.DH has promised we can go through his long sleeve T-shirts tomorrow and get rid of those that don’t fit well. Fingers crossed.
Have an amazing weekend everyone xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I have hung on to my son's christening gown which was his mother's, and his grandmother's.As he is now 32 and Dawn was born in1959, and I've forgotten when GM was born !! Lets just say it is ancient!! It is made of Nottingham lace and hand embroidered. Will try to post some pics .

My parents are currently staying with me. Dd has my mum wrapped round her finger and today she returned home with a waffle maker. Just when I had made space in the cupboards!September 2017 Debt = £25330

@Willowtree222 agree size of the pet doesn't matter. How fab that you have space for the waffle maker and hope some waffles have been made.
@mehefin, beautiful christening gown
So a few papers out and up early to ask recycle people if they'd take the big box I couldn't crush. They did happily. Scaffolding up just hope when they start work next week there are some dry days from Wed onwards.
Interesting about the black moon and the 25th, will take it as an omen.
Sorted one book shelf realise I have puzzle books & suduko which I can use when need distraction rather than the fridge. Have 2 the same so I will go, some notebooks which need to go with other notebooks etc , looks tidier and calmer so will keep chipping away. Emptied apil from broken flower pot into one which now has drainage holes so babysteps .
Still to drop off batteries 1498 as more paper out and out stickies on some filing say where they need to go so don't have to read again..
Hope everyone has a good long weekend x13 -
@mehefin What a sweet christening gown!@Mrs_Salad_Dodger Thanks for my ⭐️ + DD1's 🏅, I'll let her know and see how confused she is!I've done 2 runs to the tip with mainly garden waste and there's still more to go. Yesterday DD1 wanted to do more while I was hot and achy so I set her to clearing some ground of ivy etc which produced less waste. She's done a very good job on a small patch. I cut chunks out of ivy stems that are climbing a mature ash tree, it'll need some patience but when the ivy has died, we can remove it and see the state of the tree - I suspect not good.Meanwhile DH has cleared the loft, scarified a patch of lawn generating a large heap of dead moss, and done considerable clearing of dead trees, finding a graveyard of "whirlygigs" (those spinny clothes lines) and toddler toys left to rot in the undergrowth at the end of the garden. Together it would have filled a skip, but we're gradually taking loads to the tip (5 mins away if it were not for the 20+ minute queue). We can see the previous occupants didn't care for the garden so we're trying to do some of the clearing before the weather breaks, but at the same time I need to do change-of-address frogs and get familiar with my new patch before I start work and get the girls used to buses before they start school ...A ton* of packing boxes we want to keep have been put into the loft.(*figuratively, not literally

Good morning all@Willowtree222 - The loss of any pet is heart breaking no matter how big or small. Sending ((((Big Hugs)))) to your daughter xxxWOW folks, look at all the decluttering going on and some wonderful cluttering up on essential experiences too, even if they're not as positive as we think they should be at times!
Up at 6am which is late for me
Babyface cocked one eye open saw the miserable grey outside and decided to bury herself under the duvet - I won't be seeing her for a few hours yet!
As we've had absolutely no rain here for several days, I've watered & fed all the garden pots out back & front this morning but it seems strange without 'the helper' in tow
I'm now about to go out and pick up something for my neighbour before I return for another lovely mug of coffee. In consideration of the crazy day I had yesterday, I'm feeling ok, although my energy is very up & down but it was well worth all the effort yesterday as I finally felt more like myself, rather than just coping & existing - I will have to take it easier over the weekend, but as both Missy & I had a great burn out yesterday, a weekend semi-crashout is expected
I must get around to listing a few more decluttered items over the weekend which should stop me from over doing it - That sounds like a great plan! PJ's, pictures for listings & posting listings, at least for today :DnI'm still visiting Gorda daily as she still has to have her ears cleaned and checked and still has an issue with eating but I think I've got to the bottom of it and I shall see when I pop in this morning, if it's worked ;)I hope everyone has a fab decluttering day! Take care all & enjoy!Ta-ta for now xxxxx
