Good morning.
Sending hugs @Willowtree222, they still become our family, no matter how small.
Im still struggling massively with my energy levels so no a lot done by me here.
Ive helped DH turned the conservatory into a spaceship 🤣 need to board it or something now to cover the silver insulation all over the roof.
Ive turned the dining room the way I would want it so I can visualise where tge wall will be for the new bedroom and it isn't as small looking as I thought.
DD1 has offered to help declutter all the books and Jigsaws when she's here. She sat for ages looking through them the other day and checking prices online but I currently have no boxes to pack tgem if we listed them so that's on hold a bit. She did take 2x kids cookbooks and 2x kids craft books home with her for the DGC.
The youngest 2 got their GCSE results yesterday and were surprised they got tge grades for college, they were both convinced they had failed. So lots of online paperwork to do today, college forms, bursary forms, child benefit... for all 3 teens going to college in September.
Right DD2 has appeared so I should get up and do something, lots of washing to go out.

Willowtree, hugs for your DD. It shows how you have brought her up to respect and value animals no matter how small.

Give us a wave on your way past Liverpool Anne. Mr V is going to Nottingham today too on the hunt for car parts for DS's car. He was quoted 4K by the garage. The car is only worth 9K. Hopefully my step son and his mechanic cousin can fettle it for less.
I do hope your OH has insurance for loss of earnings. What a debacle! A royal pain for the students too.
Have a lovely time at the wedding Salad family, whatever you wear I am sure you will all look a treat.
Granny Kate what an amazing piece of art. Not being very arty I am in awe of just thinking of the idea in the first place, never mind the execution.
I have packed a few more boxes from the kitchen. Only stuff we use a lot left now. DD1 brought some cooking apples from her tree the other day. I was going to make crumbles for the freezer but forgot I have packed the oven dishes. Stewed apple and custard then.
We have a last minute question from our buyers Solicitor about a right of way. Already drawn it on a map previously. ( terraced houses) Mr V calling in at our Solicitors on his way to Nottingham to draw it on a map again! Hope this doesn't hold things up more. This move has already taken what feels like for ever.
Only thing gone from the house is a pen. I went to fill a form in for Mum and gave her a pen. Hers are all so old they give up half way through the job but because she can get them going again she won't bin them!
I am going to wash the empty shelves in the kitchen cupboards today then finish knitting a scarf and sew up a blanket for the new baby due October. I shall be glad when my knitting challenge finishes at the end of the month. I will be sending a massive parcel off to charity. I want to use up so much of my wool stash that I can get rid of the massive container it is in.

PS Well done to your daughters Charlies tribe. I hope they love the next step of their journey. xx:11

Friday is another overcast day with a definite chill in the air - high 22°C, low 11°C & humidity 54%. Time to knuckle down to the cheerleading 😉
Excellent work decluttering frogs GrannyKate 👏 Fingers crossed that the plasterer turns up as arranged 🤞Also great work using up your stash of notebooks 👏 I really need to make a start on using up my stash as I keep finding notebooks all over the place 😱
Well done on disposing of the coat hangers suzeesu2000 👏 Fingers crossed your friend turned up 🤞
TC77, well done on resisting the temptation to increase your notebook stash especially in a 50% sale 👏 Good luck with the listings & sales of vintage bundles 🍀 Very impressed at how long you kept the ladybird t-shirt 🤩 Re This “Realise now I would love someone to just stand over me and make meget things out rather than the umming and ahhing and returning to them week/month/year after each other.” I wonder if Dilly is available 🤔 Meanwhile keep up the good work 😊
Excellent work Dizzycap 👏 You were a whirlwind of activity on Wednesday morning 🤩 I do hope that you didn’t overdo it 🙏 as now that Babyface & Gorda are well I wouldn’t want to see you fall ill 😞 I do hope that the rain stayed away after you went to the effort of watering the garden 🤞
daisy_1571, love your post 😊 especially This “(job advert for your window: Person required to stand watching me sort my house and MAKE me make decisions. Must be fit (job involves standing), firm in a kind way and decisive. Hours required: 24/7 as I sometimes think of things in the middle of the night. Apply within with CV plus clear photos of your wardrobe, understair cupboard and pantry 😆 )” 🤩 Although the other 2 ideas of coin flipping or dice rolling are probably more practical 😂
Willowtree222, I know I shouldn’t encourage you but perhaps keep one item from age 18 or maybe just take a photo of all the items 😉 Excellent work on the decluttering & tidying on Wednesday 👏 worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 🙂 I hope that your DD has a wonderful time 😊 & that you have now found the missing item 🤞
YBR, I loved This “Today DD1 has incited me to some more gardening with prejudice!” 🥳 Perhaps I can ‘borrow’ her to incite me to ‘declutter with prejudice’ 😂 Excellent work worthy of a Gold Star ⭐️ + a medal 🏅 for DD1 - both of which are on their way 🙂 How lovely to still have antique christening robes 🥹
TC77, love, love, love This “Trying to think if I can summon up my very hidden inner near minimalist and imagine asking them and then setting aside some.pennies each time I make a quick decision and can spend it on doing something 🙂 Especially as I often post things and within 24 hours decide should go to cs after all that taking photos and listing which takes time..” 🥹 Good luck 🍀
One page caught up 🥳 Possibly back later 😉

I just saw this article about decluttering, the 23rd of August.

Friday continued: DH & I went back to Gallions Reach Retail Park to pick up the smaller size dress (too tight so have to settle for the too large version with a white t-shirt underneath to save my blushes 😉) & also bought a slightly smaller, smarter rucksack for carrying items throughout the day. There & back in under an hour as traffic was very light. DSis had a bath whilst we were out. Whilst I was having my bath DH went out for a walk to build up a reserve of steps 😂 He had his bath when he got back & then a very fraught time packing as DSis is taking lots of extra stuff for our overnight stay at the B&B including milk, teabags & snacks 😅 We have tried to pack so that DH will be able to pick up the bags we are taking on the bike 🤞
Just heading off so I will post & run. Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday & I will be back posting on Sunday. P.S. the sun has come out 😊

vulpix said:Oooo, I remember those cotton socks which were crispy when they had been through the wash. I also remember having some white cotton knee socks in the 60's. They had big bubbles in the pattern. I loved them. They wouldn't stay up so I had garters made from elastic. Gosh, remember them? I am nostalgic recently arn't I, not like me at all.
VxI just popped in a came across severalmpists about old clothes - I LOVE anything vintage
I remember those boble socks that never stayed up. I got away with wearing them for school!
Wow! that was a few years ago, but I've still got the legs to wear them!
Great going with all the decluttering & ideas for decision making on wether to keep, sell, of give away - I love the dice idea
I've had on of the best feeling days with normal energy levels for over 14 months and I have gone decluttering crazy today
Decluttered the grass from the lawn, leaf blew all the leaves up, and cleared & watered the back gatden all by 8am :oDecluttered the HH wheelie bin outside for decluttering collection, 2 loads of washing done & out on the line; now collected in, cleaned up & watered the front garden and all the pots; caught , cheeseup with a friend while outside & decluttered some bulbs she had wanted from the shed, decluttered a home visit to gorgeous Gorda complete with a huge chicken fillet & large slab of cheese for her to eat; her appetite is coming back thank goodness, ears all cleaned, anticeptic ear wash & mite ear drops befopre declutterong a lovely calm walk with her to get her used to using her feet correctly. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to demonstrate the monster walk to remind her to walk with her back feet and not skip! It's a wonderous sight to see, especially from behind - Like I care! :DBabyface is absolutely fill of it today - 2 hours fruit looping around the back garden with her socks on
before a big breakfast & then her demanding to go to the woods, so off we went in the car & she went nuts! Got home to 3 decluttering sales, so packed them up & pooped off with Missy to the RM inpost locker which had been emptied - whoop, whoop!
I've finally been able to declutter a mug of coffee after sorting out some finances which seem to take ages because all banking were so very slow this afternoon
All done & dusted inbetween a lovely unexpected visit from a friend who brought me some flowers. It was lovely to catch up & have a laugh

Came back with a rather large bar of chocolate that a neighbour gave me as we walked passed
I've finally been able to declutter a mug of coffee after sorting out some finances which seem to take ages because all banking apps were so very slow this afternoon
It was enough to make you want to stuff chocolate to cope, but I resisted
All done & dusted in between a lovely unexpected visit from a friend who brought me some flowers. It was lovely to catch up & have a laugh with BG arriving to try and get my gas meter to speak to the smart meter for auto meter readings, which it still doen't seem to want to do, even now!
Also had a new Vax pro corless hover arrive as a very welcomed birthday gift, although it's available for anyone to use including Missy & not just me!
