@retiredinfrance well done with the books and interesting how much people underestimated their clothes. I'm sure I do but getting good at wearing them.
Wore my £3 new to me trousers ( from weekend) to work ( pure ollection which I'd never heard of but looked up and more than I would spend and good quality) with a new to me top bought a couple of.months ago £3 ish but not worn before and felt v smart with my indestructible cardigan actually new but about 7 years ago.
Inspired by @daisy_1571 and others , very large cardboard box out , hoping recycling take as so sturdy and big I couldn't crush, a new pillow for donation hub, back of papers I was going to take to shred but nothing confidential in terms of personal details that can be used although not info to.broadCast, travel pillow which looks awful but technically works but went in recycling..I have others. Some other paper and couple of things but can't recall quite what!
Tidied the box room part  of the main rod.
Hoping others have said that those who haven't popped in for a while are just too busy with other things or got the decluttering nailed..

Hahaha Brie, you are wearing the right glasses! The ponies wear summer coats and "hats" which keep flies off their eyes and ears. They also wear a different coat to bed. Mr V is a city boy and it was a revelation to him. I expect a nights stay at that livery yard is on par with a good hotel!

  • Decluttering is taking a bit of a back seat as I’m trying to make sure we have as many days out as we can in the summer holidays before we are back to the chaos of school in less than two weeks. We managed two days in London this week, a casual one in Battersea Park on Monday, which involved multiple tube lines (loved by DS1) and coming back to Embankment on the Uber boat (loved by DS2 and DD). Yesterday, DS2 had his birthday outing, his birthday is in February but all three children got an “experience” this year instead of stuff as their birthday gift. DS2 loved Paddington so we went to the Paddington Experience on the South Bank, he loved it! Whilst we did that DH took DS1 and DD to Westminster Abbey which they really enjoyed and later we all went to the National Gallery (enjoyed by me, DS1 and DD, less so by DH and DS2!). I tracked our walk and we walked 5.4 miles, so consequently we haven’t done very much today!

The positive part of having to buy multiple pairs of children’s shoes last weekend is that I’ve sorted all their old ones out and 2 bags went to the shoe recycling today, there were some pairs of mine and DH’s in there too. I’ve also been sorting out school uniform gradually, DS2 starts a new school so he needs all new, so 1.5 bags went to a friend with a child in a younger year.

This makes my new total 207.5/104 (312)

    Love to everyone xxx

Hi all, goodish day today. Chiropodist appointment 😁 now feel like I'm walking on air 😁. The bedroom recycling emptied, 1 LDFPA, parcel posted and meds ordered. The tgtg  bag was cancelled so only minimal shopping done and put straight away.
The latest in the saga of the car is it needs a new motor for the power steering. It is at a dealers garage in Ellesmere Port, no idea how it got there but it was inspected and an eyewatering quote was given. OH took into consideration the cost of more days lost pay by moving it to a potentially cheaper garage and authorised the work. Then we hear that the part is on back order and it could be up to a month to get it 😲. The nice lady at the garage suggested we look on ebay for a second hand part and they will fit it. OH said not sure what part exactly to look for but was happy to pay for it and get it to them if they could source it. They texted a link and the upshot is tomorrow we are driving to Nottingham to collect it and delivering it to the garage 🙄. So joy of joys on the Friday before a bank holiday we will be driving first through and to one tourist destination and then back towards North Wales, it should be fun avoiding all the caravans 🙄.
I am heading to bed now as we are hoping for an early start.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

    1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
    2. Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
    3. Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
    4. Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
    5. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
    6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

Thursday is a dull overcast day - forecast high 21°C, low 15°C, humidity 61% DSis has already done one load of washing & the 2nd load is in wm. She has been brave & 1st load is out on the whirligig. Now hung up indoors as the 3 of us are going out & it looks like rain. We left at 14:00, first stop Gallions Reach Retail Park - went into several shops for DSis’s shoes with no luck ☹️ However, with the pressure off to find a wedding outfit, you’ve guessed I found a dress I liked & light cardigan. Sadly they didn’t have my size so bought the next size up which has presented a slight issue re cleavage 🙊 (DH is popping into As*a to pick me up a round necked white T-shirt to save my blushes) We finally found a pair of ‘these will do’ shoes for DSis but nothing to match my new dress. Then headed over to Beckton Retail Park to do our food shop in Sainsbugs & guess what DSis found the perfect pair of shoes 🥳 I was not so lucky so will make do with my sketchers. Finally got home about 17:15. Put shopping away. DH was hungry so had a late lunch - stir fry vegetables with some chicken, DSis had a sandwich & I had some bread & humous. We had dinner late 20:30 - spaghetti bolognese. Wudupa. Paid milkman.

1535 - 1537 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, newspaper - recycled

    1538 - 1539 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned

I will try to catch up a little on the cheerleading as I will be leaving my iPad at home. We are booked into a B&B for Friday night so that we arrive at the church on time for the wedding.

Liverpool_Anne, what a busy Wednesday with some great decluttering 👏 Loving the conversation about old clothes 😊 I totally agree with This “I do think some older clothes were made better than a lot of clothes in the shops today.” even more expensive clothing seems to be less well made 😞

So much for catching up - just noticed the time so am off to bed. Sleep tight 😴
